Okay, I'm into that

0:03

A.B. It seems like it has a good little bop

0:05

to it. I'm trying to figure out where he's from.

0:08

Ireland? Irish? Yeah, he's Irish.

0:10

Sorry

0:12

to totally jump around right now. We're going

0:14

to bring in Arda and Arda's going to be like, you two are so erotic.

0:16

I've been listening to the show and you guys have

0:19

talked about the most random stuff. But

0:21

did you see that Conor McGregor suckied a mascot?

0:24

Oh yeah, he ended

0:24

up in the hospital. Jesus! Yeah,

0:26

that's quite something. I was watching the McGregor

0:28

documentary over the weekend and I'm like, oh

0:30

Conor McGregor, he's misaligned a bit.

0:33

He's not misaligned a bit. He's punching bags. He

0:35

is what he is. He is a wild

0:37

individual. Conor McGregor, wild individual.

0:55

Stanley Cup playoffs,

0:56

final rather, continues tomorrow night. Vegas

0:58

could win it. We're going to have Art O'Callon in a couple minutes.

1:01

NHL

1:02

and ESPN host. And you

1:04

know, we're just kicking it on this rainy Monday.

1:06

Yes. Let's get back to our

1:08

burning question. We didn't leave us any

1:11

time to talk about it in the last segment. Because

1:14

things went off the rails as they typically do here

1:16

on a Monday. The question was, what's your confidence

1:18

level that Nylander will sign an extension with Toronto

1:21

by training camp? But if so, what does that look like?

1:25

Julia, when it comes to William Nylander,

1:27

where are you at? We spent a lot of

1:29

time focusing on Austin Matthews and

1:32

whether or not he signs an extension. Nylander's

1:34

in the exact same boat where he's got one

1:36

more year left on his deal, but he's eligible

1:38

to sign an extension come July 1st. I

1:42

would imagine that there is more

1:44

of a push, though, to get

1:46

Matthews signed than

1:48

there would be William Nylander.

1:50

Well, Austin Matthews is the face of the franchise. If

1:52

it wasn't Kyle Dubas, which I heard people say

1:54

when he got fired, by the way, which was one of the

1:56

craziest reactions I heard to Kyle Dubas getting

1:58

fired.

1:59

The face of the franchise is obviously Auston

2:02

Matthews. So I think he has to be the

2:04

focus and he's the guy that's

2:06

gotten 60 goals He's he's

2:09

the guy

2:10

even though he didn't look like the guy last season

2:12

to put it bluntly, right? Cuz he didn't really

2:14

get most points and

2:16

In the postseason

2:18

he was

2:19

Really good in the first round a beam,

2:21

but I think it's fair to say he left us wanting

2:23

more in the second round William

2:25

Nylander on the other hand

2:29

Not to say his ceiling is anywhere near

2:31

Auston Matthews because I don't think that's the case but

2:34

he's been more consistent in the postseason

2:36

and You're right It does feel

2:39

like he's kind of falling through the cracks in the conversations

2:41

people have because everyone's so intent

2:43

upon Matthews has to get resigned

2:46

that may

2:46

not be the case, but it just seems like

2:48

there's more focus on Matthews I just mean

2:50

in the in the general public conversations.

2:53

It feels like he's falling through the cracks

2:55

And maybe that's because folks have decided

2:57

that something has to change in the core and maybe the

2:59

easiest person to point out is William Nylander

3:03

Does it feel like the right call that that's maybe

3:05

the guy that goes

3:05

the problem is like he holds a lot

3:08

of He holds a lot of power because he also has

3:10

that 10 I think it's a 10 team no trade that

3:12

comes into Comes into

3:14

effect on July 1st. So he's also

3:16

you know, get some no trade protection So

3:19

the question is, you know at that point do

3:21

we see

3:21

Nylander? Coming into

3:23

the season still playing on a a

3:26

one-year deal like without a contract Do you see

3:28

him playing out the contract here if you're

3:31

Toronto? Is that even is that a smart

3:33

thing to do?

3:34

Like you may have to trade

3:36

him like and that's kind of where the conversation

3:38

comes here where you're looking at William Nylander Will

3:40

he sign extension by training camp if he doesn't

3:43

have an extension by training camp

3:45

I mean, do you now look to potentially move

3:47

him at some point in this summer?

3:49

It's an interesting thought and we have a text almost immediately

3:52

Will he peer leave to watch trade

3:54

being floated in our text lines? Maybe we could talk

3:56

about that if you later on if he's willing

3:58

to come and sign

3:59

extension yeah I think that would be something

4:02

that you know

4:02

you could do that said is

4:04

Willie gonna want to go to Winnipeg

4:05

is Willie gonna want to go to Winnipeg and will purely

4:08

to want who didn't look like Winnipeg

4:11

didn't really like Columbus like you think he's coming

4:13

well I mean if he's paid handsomely Toronto's

4:16

a big market yeah I just feel

4:18

I think I've heard too many times that it's

4:20

gonna be Montreal to believe

4:22

that he'll be willing to go anywhere if the power

4:24

is in his hands but I don't know bring

4:26

an art of o'cal

4:28

to lighten the mood a little bit yeah NHL

4:30

and ESPN hosts how's it going hard I'm so fired

4:32

up to have you on

4:34

great to be with you both again you know

4:36

I have a lot of love in my heart for both of you

4:39

which is more than I can say about half the Winnipeg

4:41

Jets team for the city of Winnipeg you just

4:43

hate to see it you know yeah

4:44

you do it's tragic and you know

4:46

what I'm from Thunder Bay originally so I got a lot of

4:48

love for that part of the world and and

4:50

the guys who want to play in Winnipeg you know they really

4:52

want to be there so they just got to find more of

4:55

those guys I guess is my glass

4:57

half full kind of comment of the day but it was a

4:59

wild sports weekend

5:00

art of specifically the

5:03

the story at the Canadian Open wild

5:05

moment with a Canadian winning that with a 72-foot putt what

5:09

was your favorite sports moment of the weekend

5:11

did I spoil it with that one

5:13

that definitely and I love

5:16

the the name escapes

5:18

me the golfer that got tackled see

5:20

that's under that's what the whole

5:22

I thought for sure you were gonna go off the board

5:25

and say the Adam hadwin tackle yeah

5:28

so Adam Hanwin's the best moment

5:30

for me was Adam hadwin's

5:33

wife on social media saying

5:35

hey just what I'm thrilled to sorry

5:37

I was putting the toddler to bed but thrilled

5:40

to report that husband is still

5:42

among the land of the living and in true Canadian

5:45

fashion he apologized to the security

5:47

guard for being tackled that

5:49

was my best sports moment of the weekend I'm like

5:52

of course you did you're Canadian that's what

5:54

we do I apologize

5:56

for running out onto the greens making

5:58

you think that I was a rabid fan That's

6:00

on me. That's on me. Yeah,

6:03

I don't think there would have been many others who have done that

6:05

just a Boy of us

6:07

would have done the exact same thing.

6:09

Oh me too. Oh, I clearly

6:11

was in the wrong place, right? I fault Yeah,

6:14

absolutely. I would have done that

6:15

sort of thing that was that was honestly hilarious But

6:18

we're actually talking about this and no

6:20

art. Ok, I'll good Toronto boy You know,

6:22

where do you think that does kind

6:24

of stand amongst like Toronto playoff

6:26

moments? Technically, it was a playoff

6:29

hole so we can call it a playoff moment. Like

6:31

what does that stand for you? The Nick Taylor putt? No,

6:34

it was fantastic. I mean it blew up everywhere

6:37

It was I think was number one on our sports on the

6:39

top 10 at ESPN in America So like I mean

6:41

clearly it it translated

6:43

but I mean for me like like I still here's

6:46

the thing like especially with golf Right,

6:48

like I still remember Mike Weir's

6:50

victories, right? like I grew up

6:52

in that when how significant it was for a Canadian

6:55

golfer to win a big championship,

6:57

right and for For

7:00

a Canadian to win the Canadian

7:02

open on home soil I haven't been done

7:04

in the you know, a hot minute like this

7:07

will be a generation of sports fans Not

7:09

just golf fans that remember this victory

7:12

and hold it fondly just like I

7:14

do we do many people do Listening

7:17

when Mike Weir won a big championship

7:19

and it was a big deal and we talked about it for months

7:21

Like it was so such a point of pride and

7:23

then I feel that living in America like any

7:26

Canadians that live here Like

7:28

we just have this Increased

7:30

it just feels like an increased sense of pride

7:32

whenever a Canadian does a really cool

7:35

thing On a global scale or a

7:37

big championship, even if it is on Canadian

7:39

soil, it still mattered to the sports world So

7:41

it was like this is this is awesome.

7:44

And it's like, I don't know It's just like an increased

7:46

heightened sense of a super

7:48

awesomeness

7:49

from my point of view living in America

7:51

now It's just it's the best it's great. Yeah,

7:53

I saw the the PGA tour radio

7:56

on unserious tweet out Marc Zekino

7:58

Who's you know our TSN guy here?

7:59

here at TSN 1050 hosts Golf Talk

8:02

Canada. And he was also, he was doing play by

8:04

play for the radio call

8:06

and it just obviously he went ballistic

8:08

being a Canadian guy, Canadian soil at the

8:11

RBC Open. His final call was

8:13

tremendous. If you haven't heard it yet, Arto,

8:15

which you may have or probably did, because it was

8:17

all over the place. But I saw Steph Curry

8:20

comment on it and I was like, that's actually just like

8:22

so cool. Fatty like Steph Curry. That's insane. He's

8:24

a big golf guy. Curry loves golf. I think he's

8:26

been done like a couple of pro-ams and he wanted to

8:28

kind of do a Tony Romo type thing where

8:30

he's like, maybe I could do this golf thing. But he

8:33

commented on it and I was like, way to go, Mark

8:35

Sakino. Like it just, I felt good for

8:38

him because Steph Curry like

8:40

commented on his call. It

8:42

is funny. We're always like the little brother to America.

8:45

And it's like whenever Americans are like big star

8:47

studded Americans, you know, credits

8:49

us Canadians. It's like, yeah, good for you, buddy.

8:52

I don't know why.

8:53

Yeah. Just the way it is. I'm with you. I'm with you. And it

8:55

could be a big another to

8:58

keep the Canadian athlete train going. Denver

9:00

wins the NBA championship. Maybe Jamal

9:03

Murray wins finals MVP. Like,

9:06

come on, kitchen or stand up. You kidding me? Absolutely.

9:08

Yeah, absolutely. With

9:10

Art O'Call, NHL

9:11

on ESPN host. Well, speaking

9:14

of people standing up, Artie, you've been,

9:16

you know, we'll get to the cup final and some

9:18

other hockey things in a moment. But the

9:20

NHL launched this new project called Backstory

9:22

detailing some of the biggest stories and moments of the game

9:24

of hockey. They released the first episode,

9:27

Quack, Quack, Quack, and narrated

9:30

by yourself, Art O'Call.

9:33

Can you tell us a little bit about this project?

9:35

Kind of give us a skinny, because I think it's pretty cool.

9:38

Yeah, so this first episode is a compliment to

9:40

the E60 documentary called

9:42

Once Upon a Time in Anaheim, which basically

9:45

chronicles the story of how on earth

9:47

a movie, The Mighty Ducks, actually became

9:49

an NHL franchise. And it

9:51

goes into pretty deep detail.

9:53

It was really good. They got a lot of particulars, like

9:56

former Walt Disney company CEO Michael Eisner

9:58

and Jeff Ferrer, the... general manager

10:00

at the time of the Mighty Ducks and Steve

10:03

Brill who wrote the Mighty Ducks movies. They got

10:05

a lot of the particulars to talk about Paul

10:07

Correa, Tim The Solani in the

10:09

film, Yia Bear, etc. A lot of people who

10:11

were in and around that John Sebastian Jugger of course

10:13

with the O3 Cup run winning the consummites

10:16

and losing the Stanley Cup. It's

10:18

a really cool story. It's really

10:20

fun. I'm a big hockey nerd. We're all hockey

10:22

nerds. I love the hockey history. I love

10:25

the storytelling in that vein.

10:27

So when the NHL approached

10:29

me with the project, would you like to host

10:31

the series that we're doing? I said absolutely. This

10:33

is like extremely my wheelhouse and

10:36

this was the first episode. There's more to come but this

10:39

one is like I said it definitely a compliment

10:42

to the E60 story

10:44

and it's a lot of fun and you learn a

10:46

lot of like random things about

10:49

the team and things that you had forgotten like

10:51

how Gary Bettman and Michael

10:53

Eisner and a bunch of other executives did this duck

10:56

call as soon as they announced the team.

10:58

It's like the team is called the Mighty Ducks and they all had

11:00

duck horns and they toot the duck

11:02

horn. It's just like one of the silliest things

11:05

ever and like Michael Eisner is laughing about it in the

11:07

documentary right? It's just funny.

11:09

That's awesome. I don't know

11:11

if maybe it's embargoed information but

11:13

like any plans for some leaf centric

11:15

episodes in the future you think Arta?

11:18

Well I'll pitch it but what would

11:20

it here let me ask you what would it what would be leaf

11:22

centric episode beat? That was gonna be my follow-up

11:24

party. It took away my follow-up question to you.

11:27

I'll answer it though cuz I did kind of. How

11:29

dare I take the steering wheel

11:31

of your show. True host.

11:35

True host. True

11:37

hosting fashion. So

11:38

for me I mean I would like to

11:40

kind of see I don't know maybe the behind the

11:43

scenes of like the collapse of 2013 and

11:45

hear from the people who are around

11:48

for that. Like I know it's not a positive

11:50

story for Toronto but I think it's one

11:52

that Leaf fans would probably still be interested

11:54

in. Maybe a behind the scenes backstory

11:56

of like Auston Matthews season you

11:59

know breaking the

11:59

The goal record scored 60, first guy

12:02

to do that in 10 years. David Ayers. Do

12:05

you want to do a David Ayers type of story?

12:07

Yeah, David Ayers is going to be the

12:09

big one. Can I ask you a question, Mike, going

12:11

back to the 2013 one, are you the kind

12:13

of guy that loves to relive his worst breakup?

12:16

Sadly, probably, yeah. How many Leaf fans

12:19

want to relive that in a two-hour documentary like,

12:21

oh man, this is

12:24

one of the worst painful things ever. Let's

12:27

relive it all over again. I would just want

12:29

to see what's going on in the locker

12:31

room. And I don't know if there's a visit to that anyways.

12:33

I guess now, in hindsight, could

12:36

you find that potentially? But I would

12:38

want to know what relive was going on in the locker

12:40

room after they let that leak go, what was going

12:43

on in Reimer's head at that

12:44

point. Yeah, who from that team would you want to talk

12:46

to the most? Probably Reimer.

12:49

Ooh, that's a good one. Yeah, Reimer. I

12:51

would want to talk to April Reimer, I

12:52

think. Remember that whole thing in the stands that was going

12:54

down? Like his wife was looking

12:56

really stressed. Oh, yeah. That was

12:59

T too. So I like behind the scenes T as

13:01

well.

13:01

That'd be interesting.

13:04

Yeah, you convinced me. I guess that would be

13:06

a, I mean, it is obviously a monumental

13:08

moment. So I guess as a Leaf, growing

13:11

up a Leaf fan, that would be the Leaf, I

13:13

would be in the documentary by the way, I would be in Maple

13:15

Leaf Square in my blue and white doobaz pants,

13:18

crying my eyes out after that loss. So

13:20

if you can find that footage, I'll make the documentary

13:22

and I'm just like totally despondent. All

13:25

right. Well, we got two interns in here today.

13:27

We'll get them on the case. Maybe that's why I don't want

13:29

this to happen, Mike. Maybe I'm like, no, no, let's not

13:31

do that

13:31

documentary. Let's not find that footage.

13:34

Me and Lake B, please, how are all my

13:36

faces? That's awesome.

13:39

We're chatting with Art O'Callon and a channel on ESPN host.

13:42

One of our, we've been doing these burning questions

13:45

every day and our burning question today, we're getting into

13:47

it as you came in. We're talking

13:49

about William Nylander and we're asking,

13:51

you know, the confidence level that he'll extend

13:54

before training camp. So there's

13:56

been a lot of conversation about Austin Matthews

13:58

and whether or not he will. you know, sign

14:00

extension come July 1 or prior to training

14:02

camp at some point during the summer. Where are you

14:05

at with William Nylander and how much he should be

14:07

prioritized to get a deal done this summer?

14:10

I think he's a big priority. I think that he's

14:12

among the biggest obviously part of the core four, as

14:15

everyone always talks about. Austin Matthews

14:18

clearly a big priority as well. Training

14:20

camp is a lofty goal, but I mean if

14:22

I'm Bradshaw living and I come into this team and

14:25

I know the lay of the land, I know exactly what I'm facing

14:28

and I hired a guy like Shane Doan, you know,

14:30

which is has the ancillary

14:32

benefit of the Austin Matthews

14:35

favorite player growing up, great dude, you know,

14:37

obviously they have a relationship so you know

14:39

that could certainly help even if you know the

14:41

main thing is Shane Doan wanted to step

14:43

up in his career and this is a great step

14:45

for him, you know, the Jason Spetson to the Cal do this

14:47

kind of thing. And so you know

14:50

with Bradshaw living though, if I want to make a giant

14:52

a big statement, that's probably something

14:54

I'm thinking about and probably something I'm working on.

14:57

The thing I will say about Bradshaw

14:59

living and I keep I think about this so

15:01

much. Like optically,

15:04

you could say, oh man, like look at the Florida

15:06

Panthers, they made the Stanley Cup finals

15:08

and unbelievable Matthew Kuchuk at the center

15:11

of it and like, then you think back to the

15:13

trade with the Calgary Flames and everything. But the

15:15

Calgary Flames finished one point ahead

15:17

of the Panthers at the end of the regular season. They just happened to

15:20

be in a conference that did not allow them

15:22

to make the playoffs and the Panthers made the

15:24

playoffs by one point and

15:26

it was like a really improbable circumstance

15:29

in which they did make the playoffs. So like,

15:31

I don't know, like I guess when

15:34

people are like thinking of Bradshaw living

15:36

as a GM and what happened in that last

15:38

year, like it was an incredible offseason

15:41

he had last season. And also like

15:43

keep that in mind. Like optically,

15:45

it's very easy to say, wow, the Panthers made out like

15:48

bandits or like what a great upgrade

15:50

they had because they made the state cup final like, yes,

15:52

but just keep that in mind that

15:54

like it was still incredible what

15:56

he was able to do with Calgary, giving the cards

15:58

that he was dealt, you know, with the the whole Goudreau thing and players

16:01

just like Winnipeg right now, players not

16:03

wanting to be there anymore and what can you do

16:05

to wheel and deal? Like this is obviously

16:08

a different situation. This is a destination market. This

16:10

is somewhere that players want to be. And

16:12

so, you know, I have faith

16:14

that I think what I should say, I

16:17

think we should definitely put faith on

16:19

Brad Scholibing, given his past, given

16:21

how respected he is around the league and also

16:24

what the cards he has in front of him. And to your

16:27

point about William Nylander, if something does

16:29

get done by training camp, wouldn't

16:31

be surprised.

16:32

Yeah, if it doesn't, Arda, if he

16:34

digs his heels in right away, the number

16:37

is really crazy for William Nylander's.

16:39

Based on the way that

16:41

he's kind of got the chips in his hand right now, do

16:43

you have to explore trading him at

16:45

that point?

16:46

I think it's always options.

16:49

I think it's always available. I think everyone is, that

16:52

is always an option for everyone. But it

16:54

would have to be a sizable trade. It would have to be something that,

16:56

but then again, Brad Scholibing is somebody

16:59

who has that sort of history,

17:01

right? Is able to pull off. Like

17:04

how many times did we say that last off season? Like,

17:06

oh my gosh, he did what? What

17:08

did he do? What happened? What did

17:10

he pull off? Like, if that vibe is

17:12

to come to the two pieces

17:15

of the core four, whatever they sign off,

17:17

and Matt used to, if that's the

17:20

path they take, if William Nylander gets

17:22

signed or traded and it's

17:24

a big deal that comes with it, I

17:27

think Brad Scholibing is in a good position to be

17:29

the one to pull that off. But yeah, it would be

17:31

a seismic shift.

17:33

And it would be a change of paradigm. In

17:35

conversation with Art O'Call, it's been a month

17:38

to the day actually since the Leafs got eliminated by

17:40

the Panthers in round two. At

17:42

the time, we talked about kind of the round one

17:44

being maybe less special because of how it all

17:46

flamed out in round two. But

17:48

moving forward with this group, Arta, if

17:50

they do keep the core four together, it's sounds

17:53

like they would like to. We'll see if that ends up happening.

17:56

I mean,

17:56

do you have more confidence that they could

17:58

actually get it done?

17:59

Does that first round no longer seem like

18:02

as much of a hurdle as maybe it did earlier

18:04

this year?

18:07

Yeah, in the sense that

18:09

they did it. Right. Like it doesn't seem

18:11

like a hurdle from that point of view, but the

18:13

job is far from done. I think that

18:16

it was always

18:18

the reason why there was so much importance placed on the first

18:21

round is because the team hadn't won in the first

18:23

round for over a decade. And I think that

18:25

once that happened, the reminder was,

18:28

oh, yeah, it's one round like the

18:30

cup, the Stanley Cup is the goal. And

18:32

this team has the pieces to warrant

18:35

that conversation to win the Stanley Cup. Obviously,

18:38

that's every team's goal. But there are

18:40

a lot of interesting decisions to make on this team.

18:42

What do they do at goaltending? You know, Samsonoff is

18:44

he was good in the playoffs in key

18:46

moments as well. What is his future with

18:49

the Leafs? Is that as simple as,

18:51

hey, let's sign him. You know, Joe Wall was

18:53

good as well. Make a decision

18:55

on that Murray. Do they keep

18:57

a guy like Luke Chen, who clearly wants

19:00

to be in Toronto and he made some good contributions?

19:03

What about a guy like Ryan O'Reilly? Like, I

19:05

thought he was clutch and he scored

19:07

a late goal to tie a game in the series

19:09

with Tampa. He was a gritty grinder

19:12

kind of guy that you definitely need. Like, I

19:14

feel like those kinds of players would

19:16

suit the Leafs very, very well. You know,

19:19

there are names out there that you can point to

19:21

that would certainly be a benefit

19:24

to a Leafs squad like this that might be UFA's

19:26

on different teams, you know? And I

19:29

think that it can be

19:31

a very interesting obstacles. And I know that the

19:33

core four is going to grab

19:35

much of the headlines, but I do think that there are some

19:38

complimentary pieces or pieces beyond

19:40

the core four conversation that

19:42

might prove to be almost as important

19:45

to the immediate success of the Leafs.

19:47

Yeah. Well, what are you looking at specifically there,

19:49

Arta? Like the blue line maybe has watching

19:51

the way Vegas has been able to the

19:54

kind of crush teams just using their size and

19:56

strength and specifically that their blue line made

19:58

you think, oh, The Leafs' team D

20:01

was really good all year, and coming into the postseason,

20:03

everybody probably felt better about the blue line than

20:05

they had maybe in all of the

20:08

runs of the Leafs. The runs. I don't like

20:10

the one round runs that the Leafs have been

20:12

on in their seven years of getting to the postseason. Something

20:14

about the blue line that Vegas has, maybe

20:17

thinking the Leafs should mold somewhere that

20:19

way. That's

20:20

the name of the documentary, The Run, the 20

20:22

year history of the Toronto Leafs documentary.

20:24

I was embarrassed as soon as it came out

20:26

of my mouth how humiliating in Toronto of

20:28

me to call it a run. All seven games.

20:30

All seven games. If we get

20:32

lucky, we are unlucky sometimes

20:34

based on the Leafs' history in game sevens.

20:38

The peer point though, Vegas

20:40

had what, nine goal scorers in the first

20:42

two or three games in the Stanley Cup final. Their

20:45

depth is insane, right? It's

20:47

almost the opposite, right? The Golden

20:49

Knights are succeeding based on depth

20:51

and everyone contributing. Obviously,

20:54

it didn't help standing on the side too. That

20:56

is such a big part of it. That was a big part of Florida's

20:58

success too. Just the contributions

21:01

of up and down the roster. That's

21:04

why I say there's a lot of third, fourth

21:06

line pieces, eighth, sixth defense

21:08

player that

21:11

the Leafs will need to look at and say, yeah, we need to

21:13

make some big decisions here. Those

21:16

complimentary pieces become integral

21:18

pieces, especially in the postseason. Do

21:20

I look at the decor and say, could we add a couple of big

21:22

bodies? Could we add a couple of more

21:25

proven defensemen to bolster this decor?

21:27

Certainly. I think goaltending is still

21:30

a big decision. What do they do with

21:32

the three pieces that they have there? Like I said, I think that

21:34

that's going to be a big decision that they have moving forward,

21:37

especially when they're going to be making some

21:39

big decisions with Nylander

21:42

and Matthews' contract and how that's

21:44

going to

21:46

implement their cap space, even

21:48

with the salary cap

21:50

possibly going up in the next year or two, whatever the case

21:52

may be. It won't be going up that much.

21:55

So yeah, it's an interesting

21:57

time.

21:58

Game five tomorrow.

21:59

Is Vegas closing out on home ice?

22:02

I think

22:04

they do. I think it's going to be an epic celebration. I

22:06

think it's going to be a lot of fun on social media

22:08

afterwards to track where they're going. I

22:11

will have the over-under on five different

22:13

casinos. They take

22:15

the cup all along the strip. They

22:17

go on to five different places. My Taggio.

22:20

And then just a bunch of restaurants. Like what

22:22

did Washington do when they won in 2018? Wasn't

22:24

it like it was several

22:25

spots? Oh yeah. They hit

22:28

up Vegas.

22:29

They paraded around that town.

22:32

I would imagine the Golden Knights. They were going to

22:35

escalators. That was awesome. Yeah.

22:38

I'm

22:39

saying over under five and a

22:41

half. Do you like

22:42

what? On the casino. Who's

22:46

been the biggest story so far though in the cup final? I

22:48

feel like on Vegas there's been

22:50

so many guys who've kind of come up game after

22:52

game. It's like a new player kind

22:55

of becomes a story after each game. Is

22:57

there one in particular where you look

22:59

at him and say wow, he's been the bigger

23:02

story so far through this cup final? I

23:05

like Marcia so. Jonathan Marcia so did not score

23:07

against Winnipeg. Winnipeg keeps

23:09

coming up in our conversation. He didn't score

23:11

in round one. He didn't score until game three in round

23:13

two. And he has

23:16

what? Like 11 goals or 12 goals? He's

23:18

in the double digits. Yeah. Unbelievable. Unbelievable.

23:21

Unbelievable. Like he's one of a handful

23:23

of people that have ever done that. Go

23:25

an entire round. I think Gretzky is the

23:28

only other one actually. Like go an entire round

23:30

without scoring a goal and then score

23:33

double digit goals the rest of the playoffs.

23:36

Gretzky did it in 84 or 85. And

23:39

now Jonathan Marcia so has done it in 2023. It's

23:42

unbelievable like what he's been able to do. And

23:44

he also benefits from a strong support from a strong

23:46

cat. Not even a supporting cat. This

23:49

is a team cast and Aiden Hill

23:51

stood on his head. The one thing I did think

23:53

was on both sides obviously

23:55

there are strong candidates on the

23:57

Golden Knights for Consmike. It wasn't

23:59

a... embarrassment of riches coming into this series.

24:02

The amount of players that could have been considered

24:04

if they won the consummized. Like even Jack Eichloh, he

24:06

hadn't scored this series but he has what like five six assists?

24:09

Like he's just incredible.

24:11

Like he's been playing well. He's like second

24:14

or third all time for most points

24:16

in his first postseason and by the way his

24:19

first postseason after how many years in the league. Like that's

24:21

a cool story in itself. You know, whole saga,

24:23

Buffalo, etc. But like every

24:25

player is, there's

24:27

positive to every player and there's contributions

24:30

everywhere but to answer your question directly

24:32

I say Johnson Marcheso and I would say he's probably

24:34

in the league. He has another good game, game

24:36

five and Vegas closes it out. He's

24:39

probably your majority cons my pick.

24:42

I have one more question for you. We're going off the

24:44

board here, Arda. I'm on the edge of my seat.

24:47

What do you think Rangers fans are most

24:49

looking forward to? Finding out who their new

24:52

head coach is going to be or how

24:56

Mika Zabenajet is going

24:57

to perform at Lollapalooza. Nice.

25:01

That is by far and I

25:03

even tweeted this. There's no bigger

25:05

New York Rangers news that could have come out that

25:08

day. You're so right. Mika

25:10

Zabenajet performing at Lollapalooza which

25:12

is like the coolest thing ever. I think

25:15

that there should be round-the-clock coverage. I

25:17

think that all the social

25:19

media teams should be in Sweden. There should be

25:22

full like behind the scenes everything.

25:25

We need a full assessment. I hope he has

25:27

a post-set press conference where

25:30

he's sitting at a podium and we

25:32

you know they're answering

25:34

questions. How

25:36

cool is that though? Like it's amazing. When I worked

25:40

at MSC Network I remember him seeing him DJ

25:43

events. Like he would DJ like

25:46

the Rangers casino nuts. Just

25:48

because you know like fundraisers

25:51

that they have. You just DJ them. You just be

25:53

there and you just be like yeah yeah let me let me let me get

25:55

on the ones and twos here you know. You

25:58

know like as they do they be deal. the

26:00

cards like the players do, you know, as part of

26:02

the cool package that the fans get. And

26:05

then he just go DJs, it's very amazing. So,

26:07

yeah, that by far, by far. And

26:09

every Rangers fan would obviously agree.

26:12

You know what we might need, Arda? Might need an NHL

26:14

backstory on that.

26:14

Mmm. Might need

26:17

one on the behind the scenes of

26:21

DJ Mika Zbenizad.

26:23

Maybe pitch that one. Isn't

26:26

DJ named DJ Zbad? I thought it was

26:28

at one point. I don't know if it is, but. So I

26:31

thought it was as well, like back when he was in Ottawa

26:33

in early stages, I believe it was like DJ

26:35

Zbad or Zbaz, one of those two. And

26:37

I think now he's like, I'm just Mika Zbenizad.

26:40

Because he's Mika Zbenizad. It's

26:43

a name that a lot of people certainly know. You gotta write that name

26:45

value. Well, I was thinking too, like it's in Stockholm, right? Zbenizad,

26:47

like that, he's very well known in that. Like

26:50

I think that's also, he has pull in

26:52

that country. I think that's another big

26:54

reason why he was able to get that gig.

26:57

But that's gonna be something to watch. I

26:59

can't wait to see the performance that that man

27:01

puts on at Lollapalooza.

27:04

Well, Arda, appreciate the

27:06

time as always, my friend. Enjoy the

27:08

rest of the cup final. And we'll chat again real soon.

27:11

You both rock, talk to you soon.

27:13

There he goes. Arda Ocal, NHL

27:15

on ESPN

27:17

host. What a gem. The,

27:20

those ESPN backstories do seem pretty cool. I'm

27:23

very interested to seeing the stories they decide to,

27:25

Yeah. That he decided to tell. Yeah, I'm gonna

27:27

have to go and dig up the one that

27:29

was released this week was like the first

27:31

episode about the Danai Ducks. Like I grew up

27:34

on the Mighty Ducks. Yeah. That's where

27:36

I grew up on. So

27:36

I remember loving

27:39

that show or loving the movie and then

27:41

seeing how like the team actually came,

27:43

became an actual team

27:45

off that movie and to hear the backstory about how

27:47

that all actually happened, I think is gonna be

27:50

pretty cool. So you can check that out on, I

27:52

think it's NHL.com, NHL podcast.

27:55

So

27:56

that's definitely something worth checking out for

27:58

sure. Yeah, we're all kind of starving for. hockey content

28:00

right now. So that'd be some good stuff. Just so wild, because

28:02

they're the middle of a Stanley Cup final. They're just in

28:05

so many off days. We've talked about this at Nauseam.

28:07

I know. They're so spaced out that

28:09

we can go through it all and then it dries up

28:11

before the next game.

28:13

Thank God there's another one tomorrow. Yeah, there is. Could

28:15

be the final one though. Yep. And then we'll be really

28:17

starving for stuff. Yeah. That's what

28:19

we were gonna say, oh, wish they took it to six or seven. You're

28:22

right, you're right. Maybe they will.

28:24

They could, they very well could. On

28:26

the other side, it's Monday. Time

28:29

to see what's going on in the group chats.

28:31

What's in the group chat? Coming up next, I'm Mike DeStefano

28:34

with Julia Cixerios and the Leaf Slunch here on

28:36

TSN 1050.

28:37

This is Leaf Slunch on

28:40

TSN 1050. The Leafs

28:42

live here. Whoa,

28:47

whoa, whoa. Check this out. Hey,

28:49

did you guys see the game last night? When

28:52

it goes down. Are you texting?

28:54

Oh yeah. It goes down in

28:56

the group chat.

28:57

So we have these big group texts. It's

28:59

very late. My friend is a little unstable.

29:02

We're talking action and overreaction.

29:05

We sent 97 unanswered texts

29:07

in a five minute span. Leaf Slunch

29:09

presents. My phone vibrated itself off

29:11

the desk. What's in the group chat? This

29:14

group is hotter than

29:16

hot. All right.

29:23

The group chat. The group chat was popping this weekend

29:26

with everything kind of going on.

29:28

It was kind of a popping weekend in Toronto. I always find

29:30

when the open or any major

29:32

tournament is in Toronto, not just golf. The

29:34

city's just popping for some reason. Things are

29:36

happening. The buzz. People in

29:39

town. It's summer too. Like the patios

29:41

were packed. I was at an event

29:43

actually. Of course, that's the other thing. There's

29:45

been so many event. Like I was at an event every

29:47

night last week. I might have been a busy,

29:50

busy week. Things are popping, but I feel like everything

29:52

gets planned in June before people bug

29:54

off to go north or something. It's

29:57

always really busy somehow. Well, I went to the

29:58

Dew West Festival. on Dundas

30:01

West. I was just kind of walking up and down

30:03

the streets, just kind of enjoying the

30:06

music and the food scene and some of the vendors

30:08

that were out there just kind of checking out what was going on

30:10

and

30:11

get anything. What was the highlight of the food scene? The

30:14

highlight of the food scene? Well, there was actually, so

30:16

we've been watching this barbecue showdown show.

30:19

We actually did watch it last night too, it was funny enough.

30:22

We

30:22

also brother are obsessed with the ultimate

30:24

barbecue showdown. Please chime in if

30:26

you also are. So I saw a guy

30:28

roast at a pig

30:29

and I was like, I want to eat some of that pig. I

30:32

was like, I need a hunk of that pig.

30:34

He's like, it's not ready yet. I'm like, I know I can tell.

30:36

The hams aren't quite up to par

30:38

yet. The skin isn't quite crispy. Yeah,

30:41

it's not a caramelly color yet, I can

30:43

tell. I tried to act like I was a real hog, barbecuey

30:46

professional.

30:47

now we're suddenly critiques.

30:49

One episode where they cook up

30:51

a hog and all of a sudden I feel like I

30:53

am a professional

30:55

when it comes to cooking up a pig.

30:57

I don't blame you. I feel like everybody's into ultimate

30:59

barbecue showdown. And it's resulted in me going

31:02

to Cherry Street barbecue. And I'll probably go again

31:04

this week. But anyways.

31:06

That was in the group chat actually. You

31:08

and I, we threw back a lot of food

31:10

in the group chat over the course last week. Let's

31:12

get to the hockey talk in the group chat. Josh, are you gonna

31:14

hop in with us? You wanna hang? Like, you're

31:16

gonna stay back there? Oh no, you got a lot going on.

31:18

He's got a lot going on. Well, we'll do this

31:20

one. Okay, what's in the group chat? Let's start with this

31:22

one. And it lends to our burning

31:25

question.

31:26

The Leafs need to trade Nylander this summer if

31:28

his contract ask is too high. Can't

31:30

afford to get to training camp without an extension.

31:34

Now, I would probably like this message. I'd

31:36

hit it with a thumbs up because I feel like the general

31:38

notion among Leafs nation.

31:40

And with Austin

31:42

too, to an extent. Because you're not gonna give Austin like 20,

31:44

$16 million. Like,

31:47

it's gonna be a lot of money. But the notion

31:49

with Austin is kind of, it's gonna be

31:51

a lot but you gotta figure it out. With Willy,

31:54

I don't know if he's getting that same energy and I'm

31:56

talking specifically among the fan base and around

31:58

the notion going on in the.

31:59

general public because we have no idea what's going on behind

32:02

closed doors with Brad Tree Living and

32:04

Lewis Gross as you pointed out to me yesterday,

32:07

AB. Yeah.

32:08

So I wanted to bring

32:10

this up actually as part of the conversation today, which

32:12

is why I'm actually going to, I'm going to toss this

32:15

as a heart. It's a heart for

32:17

me. Like I think for sure

32:19

if there is no contract extension in place

32:22

by training camp, like I hope that he's not a maple

32:24

leaf at this

32:24

point. I think the only reason I didn't give

32:26

it a full heart AB is because it just felt like kind

32:28

of malicious to throw a heart at a situation where

32:30

William Neeler is going to the door. But

32:33

we've seen,

32:34

we've seen this guy dig his heels in. Right?

32:37

Like if the contract demand is high, he very

32:39

clearly believes he's worth it and he's

32:41

shown that he'll bet on himself. So he will

32:44

bet on himself, have hopefully

32:46

the season that he had a year ago and then enter

32:48

the free agent market next year and have multiple

32:51

bidders for this guy. I don't know if he's

32:53

committed to like, hey, it's Toronto or

32:55

nowhere. Yeah. I want to be paid,

32:57

you know, fairly at this point. And

32:59

if, if that fairness to him is a

33:01

little higher than what Toronto can pay,

33:03

then I think that the

33:05

trade has to come in and where Louis Gross comes

33:08

into the conversation. I realize

33:10

this over the weekend. So his agent, Louis

33:12

Gross also happens to be the same

33:14

agent as Johnny Goudreau. And

33:17

we do know what happened last summer with

33:19

Brad Trilliving and Johnny Goudreau's

33:21

agent.

33:22

Things did not go as well as

33:24

I'm sure both of them.

33:25

We're hoping and

33:27

not to say that it fractured a relationship.

33:30

I'm sure it didn't. Like Louis Gross

33:32

has many, many clients around the NHL,

33:34

but

33:35

you know, that was a situation

33:37

that that went south and it led to

33:39

Goudreau just walking away. He didn't

33:42

appreciate the low ball offer early in the year.

33:44

And then he kind of hung on to that as the

33:47

season progressed. And then at the end of the day,

33:49

he just decided to walk and leave money

33:51

on the table to go to Columbus.

33:52

He was ours two biggest clients though. I would imagine.

33:55

This is his biggest client, Nylander. He's got Tory Crew. He's

33:57

got Brad and sad. I follow Sandy.

34:00

But those like buying away are the

34:02

two biggest fish that

34:04

he deals

34:04

with right so that does

34:07

not concern me But it is definitely part

34:09

of the equation So a knee lander

34:11

is not a guy I want to be walking into his UFA

34:14

year because I can see him once he

34:16

gets to training camp without an extension Say

34:19

bet on himself and say yeah, we'll

34:21

see what happens I'll go to UFA and I just

34:23

I don't think they can let either of these players Matthews

34:26

or knee lander Walk like

34:28

either of them. I do you have to

34:30

trade one of them if you realize

34:32

pretty girly on the process We're not gonna

34:35

find middle ground Yeah

34:35

Like that's where I was kind

34:37

of kind of getting to with my point about Austin Matthews

34:39

because it kind of seems like there's this Carte blanche on Austin

34:42

Matthews you got to work it out no matter what it is But

34:44

I think you have to feel this way about Austin to

34:46

don't you can't let really either

34:48

Oh for sure if he comes in I want 20% I

34:50

want 16 million like that's not gonna

34:52

work It's just not

34:54

gonna work and I don't know if there's any team that

34:56

will be able to fit that into their cap structure

34:59

that That's the that's another problem too is

35:01

how many teams out there are gonna be able to do it I'm sure somebody

35:04

will and they'll figure out a way, but I don't

35:06

know Toronto

35:06

could figure out a way I don't know well

35:08

just a team that has

35:09

you know expendable contracts

35:12

that they can move out like Toronto I'm gonna do

35:14

something like that. You would think yeah, you might have to

35:16

see John Tavares exit states

35:18

left But that's not really possible right

35:21

to open up that type of cap space I mean could

35:23

you do it by hey Willie? Sorry? We

35:25

got to give all this might Austin I suppose,

35:28

but is that really?

35:29

Good team building

35:31

like you probably rather keep Willie trade off and

35:33

get all these picks prosper get all these not

35:36

picks and prospects Do a hockey deal and

35:38

just get multiple pieces and build it

35:40

If there's one thing that we're learning here in the NHL

35:42

in the cup final depth is so key

35:45

Not only up front but also on the blue line like you

35:47

look at look at this this team That

35:50

they got cooking right now over in Vegas like

35:52

top line you've got I call Marsha

35:55

so barbership, and then you've got Stevenson and

35:57

stone third

35:57

line you've got Bill Carlson and Ryle

35:59

Smith and Nicola Waw will

36:02

carry a King Kolsar on the fourth line.

36:04

Like it's just they've got four solid

36:06

lines that they roll through. We know that about the

36:08

great depth that they have on the blue line as well.

36:11

I mean there is something to be said

36:13

and this was a big reason why you look

36:15

at this this group of players making 50%

36:17

of the cap not leaving a whole lot of money

36:19

to really build

36:22

it out like

36:24

a deep roster and

36:26

there is something to be said about maybe you take that

36:28

money and you try and build it up with three or four other

36:30

players. I mean whether or not you're going to go down

36:33

that road I don't know but if they're not willing to play

36:35

ball and sign an extension I mean that's

36:37

plan B. Like that's not plan A. Plan A is to

36:39

get both of these guys signed. I will say that.

36:42

But plan B if nothing is in place and

36:44

at some point this summer you realize we're

36:46

a little too far off I think Brad Chilvig

36:48

has to seriously consider making a trade and good

36:50

thing is he's made many blockbuster

36:52

deals in in his

36:55

lifetime as a general manager in the NHL

36:57

not just the Kachuk one he's made many deals

37:00

over the course of his general manager ship

37:02

so yeah I I do like

37:04

this this take I think that if Nylander

37:06

does not have a contract by the start of training

37:08

camp there should be serious conversations

37:11

at that point like yeah we might have to move this guy

37:13

and see if there's a team out there that's willing to do a bit of a sign

37:16

and trade to get this guy extended. Yeah

37:19

we just got an amazing so maybe we'll do

37:21

a couple more of those on the other side so we work over

37:23

timing I do have to read this text that we

37:25

got it says the smoke ring is an up-to-par

37:28

which is barbecue showdown

37:30

lore of course the smoke

37:32

ring isn't up to par haven't you heard

37:34

them say that oh yeah yeah yeah yeah

37:37

because that's the first time we went out for barbecue

37:39

last week like my boyfriend's

37:41

checking for the smoke ring I'm like we can't

37:43

identify what smoke ring looks like we watch

37:45

one episode of this show we're pros we're

37:48

experts when it comes to barbecue

37:50

absolutely all right you want to take

37:53

a break and then tackle a couple more of these on the other

37:55

side all right one more time to dive into because

37:57

we got we got one down and we got

37:59

like a few more to get to as well. So we'll come back

38:01

and we'll continue some what's in the group

38:03

chat takes. We'll take it around the NHL a

38:06

little bit. I'm Mike DiStefano with Julie Tashari,

38:08

and Alicia Lunch here on TSN 1050.

38:10

All

38:18

right, welcome back. Alicia

38:19

Lunch, a little last slap

38:21

around the track in the words of my co-host,

38:24

Al's brother, who is sitting across from me right now.

38:26

To be honest, those are the words

38:29

of Jonesy, Paul Jones. That's

38:31

his, going into the fourth quarter

38:33

every time. That's his go-to.

38:35

One more lap around the track.

38:37

So I'll give a shout out to Jonesy. But you usually have a specific pause.

38:39

One last

38:41

lap around the track is like usually the Al's

38:43

brother way. So you made it your own. It's tiny

38:45

alterations to it. Yeah, that's right. That's right.

38:47

Those little adjustments. You want to get

38:49

right back into the group chat? You want

38:51

to check vote?

38:52

Yeah, and I've adjusted one on the fly. I'm

38:54

talking about adjustments because we got some breaking news

38:56

here where Ryan Huska has just been named

38:59

the head coach of the Calgary

39:01

Flames. And I just got this text

39:03

in the group chat that just got fired out there.

39:06

Someone asking me, where can I

39:08

place my futures wager on Ryan

39:10

Huska winning the Jack Adams

39:13

next year?

39:14

I said this last week, didn't I?

39:18

Before they even had the

39:18

coach hired. Coach X will become the Jack Adams.

39:20

Yeah, because it just feels like that roster.

39:23

We've talked about a couple of rosters recently. Like

39:25

I think we were talking about the Buffalo Sabres in

39:27

like the mid 2000s, late

39:28

2000s. Yeah.

39:30

That

39:31

the teams were good, but they just couldn't

39:33

find a groove together and therefore

39:35

were bad. But the pieces were right. That was kind

39:38

of the thing with the Flames this year.

39:39

The pieces weren't piecing together.

39:42

And one of those pieces was head coach Darryl Sutter.

39:44

And I think they're due

39:45

for a bounce back. I am curious, though,

39:48

as Johnny brought up earlier in

39:50

the show,

39:51

you know, you got guys like Hanafin, guys like

39:53

Lindholm. They got some players heading into

39:55

the final years of their deal. I'm going

39:58

to give this a thumbs down right now.

39:59

Ask me again

40:02

at the start of the season and see what this team looks like. I

40:05

think I'm going to like it. I think I'm going to like it. And

40:07

I think that's just because I think

40:09

that there was a lot of like they made this move based

40:11

on player feedback, right? So I think that the

40:13

players get what they want. There's got to

40:16

be some buy in from them, too. Yeah, maybe it's all goes well. Maybe

40:18

that's the

40:18

case. Maybe that is the case. And they

40:20

kind of run it back with a very similar

40:22

team. And I mean, they got to get more to Huberto.

40:25

That's that's a given and

40:27

Markstrom to

40:28

those two guys. They lost like those

40:30

two guys that they returned form. It would be like

40:32

trading for a new player. If they

40:35

if they can get back to their numbers

40:37

that we're used to seeing those two guys put up, it's almost

40:39

like you traded for a new player.

40:40

They had I believe it was either 16 or 17

40:43

overtime losses this year, overtime and shootout

40:45

losses. So they left if they even

40:48

won half of those,

40:50

they're very much into the playoffs.

40:52

If they want to one three of those, they

40:55

are in the playoffs. That's how

40:58

much they just narrowly missed out

41:00

on making the playoffs this year. And

41:02

that was that was just a tough go, a tough

41:04

year for the Calgary Flames. Never seem to get

41:06

their bearings. But I would

41:09

kind of pump the brakes on on making

41:11

that wager. If someone wants to go and place

41:13

that one right now, I'd like to see what the team

41:15

looks like at the beginning of the year. Is there is

41:18

there change afoot with some

41:20

of these guys who are in a similar situation to Winnipeg,

41:23

similar situation to Toronto

41:25

with, you know, Matthews and Nylander

41:27

where they've got guys going into their final year. And if

41:30

they don't want to sign an extension, they

41:32

already like Craig Conroy came out and said,

41:34

we're not doing the Goudreau thing again. That's not happening on my watch.

41:37

So if they don't sign an extension, I think

41:40

it's likely we could see some of those guys get dealt this summer. Yeah.

41:43

And if you move out of Hanafin and a Lindholm,

41:45

how different do you feel about this team next

41:47

season?

41:48

A little different

41:49

significantly. Yeah,

41:50

I'd wait to place my wager

41:52

on on Ryan Huska until

41:55

until probably training camp

41:57

and see what that roster looks like.

41:59

Uh, the Panthers.

42:02

Uh,

42:03

which one do you want to

42:05

do here? Blue Jackets, Winnipeg. Whichever

42:08

you want. How

42:11

about this one? Why couldn't Sergei

42:13

Bobrowski play like this against the Maple Leaf? Well,

42:16

yeah. Why

42:18

would you say this text message? Because I would thumbs

42:21

down it and I would like block whoever sent it to me,

42:23

I think. So I'm done with hearing this narrative. I

42:26

told you this earlier. I know.

42:28

I'm done with this narrative. I can't hear about it. Why

42:30

though? Because the Leafs

42:32

didn't challenge him at all. They were giving

42:34

him clean looks at shots. There was nobody in

42:36

front of him. There was no traffic. They totally abandoned

42:38

that low shot from the point that was working so well for

42:40

them against Vasilevsky. And they were like, oh, we

42:43

beat Vasilevsky and we can beat anyone. We

42:45

can just not do what we did to beat Vasilevsky. And it made

42:47

no sense. And I just have a hard time. I know

42:49

he was playing really well and I know his plays declined a little

42:51

bit. But he's declined as a result of

42:53

giant men getting in his face. And

42:56

the Leafs just didn't do that.

42:57

All fair points. All very fair points.

43:00

Thank you for swaying me into also giving

43:02

that a thumbs down, I suppose. I mean,

43:04

because to your point,

43:06

it's not that Sergey Bobrovsky is playing poor. It's

43:09

not like you look at these goals here thinking, oh, he's

43:11

allowing a lot of squeakers, some really weak

43:13

ones. No, he's allowing

43:16

goals that are coming in deflections, tips,

43:19

screens by both his own

43:21

players and also the big

43:24

Hulk and Vegas Golden Knights. Yeah,

43:26

I think I probably would give this a bit of a thumbs down. And

43:28

I think it was more, you know, Toronto

43:30

not doing what was necessary. They tried to score a lot

43:32

off the rush. Toronto did. And that wasn't happening.

43:35

Some some some, you know, East West tried to get

43:36

him moving. That guy's really good.
