In Napoleon Hill's Think And Grow Rich, he states...

"General knowledge, no matter how great in quantity or variety it may be, is of but little use in the accumulation of money"

I was reminded of this over the past couple of days.

My computer went in to be fixed and the cost will be $430, even though the actual part being changed is only $130.

But because the man with the service repair company possesses a specialized knowledge in a certain field, being an "authorized" servicer, he has the ability to charge what he wants.

I have 4 choices...

1) Not have it fixed and just deal with it.

2) Buy a new computer.

3) Try to fix it myself and run the risk of ruining it.

4) Pay him to do the task for me and limit the risk of killing the computer.

I chose to suck it up and pay the man for his knowledge and skill set.

He spent the time to learn and acquire the skillset necessary to charge a certain price.
