Welcome to Legends of the New Republic! We're a Star Wars book club podcast reading through Legends novels starting just after Return of the Jedi. Each week we get through a handful of chapters of a book and discuss what we like and anything interesting that we uncover. We also end up on rabbit trails... a lot.If you like Star Wars and want to revisit the Star Wars That Came Before then Legends of the New Republic is the podcast for you. On the other hand, if you've never heard of Legends or read any of the old canon Star Wars novels, neither has Jay, so you'll be in good hands.We're a podcast that celebrates inclusivity and positivity in the Star Wars fandom. We've made it our mission to enjoy and poke gentle fun at the strange peaks and troughs of Star Wars Legends but we prefer to focus on the fun and interesting rather than denigrate the authors of any work of fiction. Writing a book, even a sub-par book is still an accomplishment and we're here as fans, not as critics.
