•Mandisa Lynn Hundley was born October of 1976 in Citrus Heights, California where she nurtured her vocalabilities after giving her life to God as a young girl.  Following graduating from El Camino High School she went on to American River College leaning in to vocal Jazz.  She later graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor’s Degree in VocalPerformance.

• Although Mandisa sang in worship groups and travelled her main stage to the world opened up when she became a contestant on American Idol in 2005.  During the fifth season she finished in ninth place.

•Following her appearance, she received offers to record and that she did.  Her first Album “True Beauty” soared on the Billboard charts in the Christian Music category.  Before Mandisa’s passing she recorded 6 full albums and 1 compilation Album.

•Her biggest chart-topping album was “Overcomer” reaching #29 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Christian chart within the first week of release.

•To the acclaim of Mandisa’s career as a Recording artist she won several Grammy Awards, K-Love awards and other awards and accolades.

•Mandisa released an album “Out of The Dark” which a book with the same title made her an author and the development of a Podcast “Out of The Dark”.
