Rowetta is a singer/songwriter who hails from Manchester, her career has spanned several decades as both a solo performer and prominent member of the UK Rave/Indie band, Happy Mondays. Her accolades and reputation have her dubbed as the First Lady of Manchester a title that could not be argued. Rowetta joined me on the show to talk some about her music career thus far, touching on her life pre-Mondays and accounts of being at the heart of the Early 90s Madchester scene in The Happy Mondays. A musician through and through she still collaborates with the likes of Paul Weller, Peter Hook & The Light and brings us insight into the life of a musician during the covid era.
