Recently in Pennsylvania there is legislation proposed to mandate nurse staffing on hospital wards (this has been proposed in other states as well.)  This is an interesting proposal as it describes the exact number of nurses to use in different situations.  This may only be the beginning as there may be staffing levels proposed for doctors as well in the future.  In healthcare, there are many things that go into staffing considerations, but if you are struggling in your job. It may be time to make a change.
