0:49

0:51
my dear friend Leona. We're in a great on
0:53
the show because I've learned a lot from
0:55
her and I know you will too.
0:58
Leona is a nutritionist and three time
1:00
bestselling author of the earth diet
1:03
cancer free with food and a 10
1:05
minute recipes. Liana
1:08
overcame many health issues including
1:10
a tumor Chronic Fatigue
1:12
digestive issues and weight loss
1:14
with nutrition and believes that food
1:17
is medicine. You may have seen Leona
1:19
on doctor's TV Dr. Oz
1:21
NBC ABC and many other
1:23
shows. Liana was born and
1:26
raised in Australia and is based in New
1:28
York. But today she's
1:30
calling in from Florida where she's
1:32
working on her latest book anxiety
1:34
free with food.
1:36
Welcome Liana. Oh thank you so
1:38
much. Jill I'm so excited to be
1:40
here.
1:42
We met about eight years ago
1:45
at a workshop. You noticed
1:47
me and you were like go and right
1:49
for it. You like HEY HI MY
1:51
NAME IS Leona and I like you
1:54
had such a wonderful presence about
1:56
you and you were so laid
1:58
and and easy to talk to and
2:00
it really made me feel special make
2:03
me feel like well she really wasn't because you
2:05
were standing next to me. You really walked up to
2:07
me.
2:08
I want to be your friend like hey
2:10
you're cool. Yes I was like if my mind
2:12
was like oh yeah cool I want to go talk to
2:14
her I want to be friends with her.
2:16
So yeah I just went
2:18
I was like high obviously
2:20
on audio right now but I hope that we can record
2:23
this on a video and that everyone
2:25
can see how beautiful Leon
2:27
is and how much free skin is glowing
2:29
she looks so healthy.
2:31
But it wasn't always so Leona had to
2:34
go through this huge learning curve
2:36
and let's talk about that first like
2:38
I want to understand how you've
2:40
come from dealing with all these
2:42
health issues to where you are today.
2:45
Yes. So I was
2:47
one of those people who had to hit
2:49
rock bottom before my life really
2:51
took a turn for the positive.
2:53
And so I was 21 when I ended
2:56
up with a golf ball sized tumor in
2:58
my neck in my lymphatic system
3:00
and I was in hospital had a biopsy
3:03
I had early stages of cancer and
3:05
I was very addicted to junk
3:08
foods. And at 21
3:10
sitting in hospital I just remember thinking oh my
3:12
gosh what have I done to myself.
3:14
And I knew I had done it to myself because my
3:16
diet was so bad and
3:19
I had an upbringing in outback Australia
3:22
with very indigenous rich lifestyle
3:24
and so they taught me that the
3:26
healthiest way for us to eat was to go out to our own backyard
3:29
and eat foods that come straight from the earth straight
3:31
from the plant or the bush because that
3:34
would provide us with nutrition and not only
3:36
that but spirit like aliveness
3:38
it would provide us with like a life force.
3:40
And so when I moved away
3:43
from the outback I started to indulge in junk
3:45
food and became so obsessed
3:47
became addicted with sugar I knew it was
3:49
so far removed from nature. This food
3:51
that I was eating and I couldn't stop
3:54
myself from eating it. The impulse was stronger
3:56
and the addiction was stronger than I was. So
3:59
when I was in hospital even though I was diagnosed with
4:01
this golf ball sized tumor to me
4:03
the biggest problem was what was causing
4:06
it. And that was being addicted to eating
4:08
junk foods and just sabotaging
4:11
and destroying my body. And so
4:13
that was my turning point and that's when things started
4:15
to unravel and I really started to
4:17
dive into. OK I need to go in
4:19
and do the work and do the deep
4:22
work and heal this once and
4:24
for all. And so
4:26
that's what I did and that's what started my whole
4:28
health path and my whole health journey.
4:31
It's truly an incredible journey and especially
4:33
because you had this knowledge is most
4:36
things from nature like you did fresh and
4:38
then in moving away from that and
4:40
then coming back to it you like ok I actually
4:42
do know how to take care of myself
4:45
and now I have no excuse anymore this is life
4:47
threatening.
4:48
Exactly. Now you know my body's not
4:50
forgiving me from that so now I have
4:52
to.
4:53
And so I started to
4:55
think of OK well how can I incorporate Well
4:57
the indigenous people taught me the Aboriginal people
4:59
taught me and this modern world
5:01
we live in so how can I bring nature
5:04
into that. Because I thought you know
5:06
I crave cookie dough and gummy bears and
5:08
chocolate and burgers and fries and
5:10
Tucker is like how can I still eat all those
5:12
foods. But in a way that's not going
5:14
to destroy my body. So
5:16
how can I eat them or still taste good. But it's
5:18
can be healthy at the same time. And
5:20
so that's when I started making recipes every
5:22
time I had a craving so I would make
5:24
cookie dough out of almond flour and
5:27
honey with some cookout names and some
5:29
vanilla and sea salt and it was just delicious.
5:31
And that fulfilled all my cravings so
5:34
that I didn't crave the stuff that was
5:36
destroying my health.
5:37
So you were replacing the
5:40
ingredients that were not so good for a
5:42
better more wholesome natural
5:44
ingredients and it would taste
5:46
as good better like worth
5:48
like.
5:49
What do you think. Sir to me it tasted
5:51
better and I was surprised
5:53
because I thought wow I'm just going
5:55
to eat this whole bowl of cookie dough because
5:57
this is.
5:59
From me eating like a whole packet of
6:01
bad cookies and I thought I'm getting
6:04
nutrition from this I'm getting protein
6:06
and magnesium antioxidants from
6:08
all the nuts and the honey whereas from
6:10
the other cookies I was just destroying
6:12
my body with the wheat gluten
6:15
with dairy with refined white sugar
6:17
all the chemical ingredients so it was
6:19
a major upgrade. And now since
6:21
I've become a nutritionist I've discovered
6:23
that there's actually a term for this it's called
6:25
replacement therapy so
6:28
I didn't know that it was a thing. Yes.
6:31
So replacement therapy and
6:33
this works for most people
6:35
who have addictions.
6:36
I would say ninety five percent of people
6:38
replacement therapy is the only
6:40
thing that works because if someone is addicted
6:43
to something especially type of food
6:46
it's very unlikely if you say OK you can
6:48
never eat sugar again or you can never have cookies
6:50
again.
6:51
So replacing it makes total sense
6:53
but with a better version.
6:55
Yes. And then then you don't miss the
6:57
bad thing.
6:58
So the tumor eventually completely disappeared.
7:01
It did in three months it completely drained out
7:03
of my system it was gone.
7:05
So the body naturally resolved
7:07
it. So you didn't have to get surgery. No. No
7:10
chemo nothing that I play.
7:12
Yeah I knew that if I had just gotten surgery
7:14
and cut it out that I wasn't addressing the root cause
7:16
and that I still would have been addicted to bad foods
7:19
and going to eating bad foods and I do
7:21
believe that if we do just cut something
7:23
out of our body and without addressing the root
7:25
cause the deep cause that it'll
7:27
pop up somewhere else.
7:29
So Liana do you do you work with a lot of people
7:31
that are dealing with early stage cancer
7:33
or more deep into
7:35
the journey. Talk a little bit about how
7:37
you help.
7:38
I mean it's a it's it's a tough one so for some
7:40
people to understand that they could heal
7:43
themselves in a way that they never thought
7:45
they could. And what do you say.
7:48
Diet obviously has a role in
7:50
our health and it's actually a lot of science
7:52
to to back that up when
7:54
we eat something. It changes the chemistry
7:56
in our body in ourselves and also our blood
7:59
and our brain chemistry as well. So
8:02
I think that people need to be more educated
8:04
and more empowered that they
8:06
their health actually is in their hands.
8:08
Definitely. And then of course as a supernatural
8:10
healing that can come as well from Universal
8:13
from God and then some
8:15
people choose to go the medical route.
8:17
And I also believe in that for some people
8:19
so when someone comes to me
8:21
with cancer I say OK well
8:24
what do you feel intuitively is the best
8:26
move for you do you want to go completely
8:28
natural. Do you want to mix chemo
8:30
and diet together or do you want to do surgery
8:32
and diet together. So I believe in
8:35
giving people that empowerment and
8:37
they can be working with a doctor but regardless
8:40
of whatever cancer it is there must be a nutritional
8:42
healing aspect to it.
8:44
So if even if you're getting chemo you still
8:46
have to eat healthy as well
8:48
and address that then your chances of healing cancer
8:50
are even more even higher. And
8:53
eating a good diet helps to boost your
8:55
immune system. So they have a better
8:57
chance of that.
8:58
Wow. It's so valuable to hear you
9:00
talk about this because so many people
9:02
deal with cancer nowadays it feels like everyone
9:05
knows at least one or two people
9:07
in their neighborhood and their family
9:09
and their group of friends that have
9:11
it or are dealing with it in
9:14
your cancer free with food book
9:16
you share all the foods
9:18
that can help prevent and
9:21
also heal your body.
9:22
Can you give us the let's say
9:24
top three things that we getting
9:27
to prevent ourselves from cancer
9:29
cells growing saw the book
9:31
like you said is it just for people with cancer it's to prevent
9:33
cancer and so science does
9:36
point in the direction that if we keep our body in
9:38
a certain environment it can be cancer free
9:40
meaning cancer can't grow in
9:42
a cancer free environment.
9:44
Sorry. The three things to keep it
9:46
cancer free is the first
9:48
one is to drink liquid chlorophyll
9:51
every day. So chlorophyll is
9:53
a compound as you know a gel and dark leafy
9:55
greens. So that's in Kale
9:57
broccoli spinach. So we get
9:59
chlorophyll when we eat dark leafy greens
10:01
but it's more potent if we drink
10:03
it in a smoothie or a juice or a
10:06
water. So I always recommend
10:08
people have one green drink every single
10:10
day whether that's the smoothie the juice or
10:12
the liquid chlorophyll liquid chlorophyll
10:14
as a supplement. So it's an extract from a
10:16
dark leafy greens that's the easiest way
10:19
to do it. It costs like 15
10:21
dollars for a bottle that will last you over a month.
10:24
So and it takes 10 seconds.
10:26
I actually get the mint version of it.
10:28
It's really green. Do not
10:30
drop it on your clothes or it
10:33
will stain. It's very concentrated.
10:35
But that's how you know like it's really powerful stuff.
10:38
Number two is tumor Rick.
10:40
So tumor Rick is so popular and it's
10:42
well known to be anti inflammatory and
10:45
it is great for more body types
10:47
so you can take turmeric in
10:50
supplement form as well. If you don't like the
10:52
taste or you don't want to get yellow fingernails
10:54
if you're cooking with it.
10:56
Another thing that stains. Yep.
10:58
Yeah. Just stay.
10:59
Yeah I've you seeing a lot of turmeric
11:01
here in Maui. They have fresh turmeric.
11:03
I always say fresh is best if you get it in it's
11:05
more Hall form. So if you're getting tumor
11:08
grew and for those of you listening who have never
11:10
seen a tumor grow it looks like ginger it looks
11:12
like a little baby cause it if you cut it open it's
11:14
bright orange so you can juice that
11:16
put it in smoothies you can also boil it make
11:18
it a tea number three what
11:21
would that be.
11:22
So number three is well
11:25
I have a top 10 list in the book but for the sake
11:27
of this podcast let's go with cocoa powder.
11:30
Oh hi how that are
11:33
made the top list because it's
11:35
so high and magnesium and
11:38
magnesium helps to relax the body
11:40
and then also shine love studies of people who
11:42
don't have enough magnesium magnesium
11:44
deficient have more
11:46
depression anxiety more stress in the body
11:49
and when we have more stress in the body we have more oxidative
11:52
stress in the body and that makes the body very
11:54
acidic and that's the environment that cancer breeds
11:56
in. So I also eat chocolate
11:58
every single day from pure cocoa but
12:00
that's the key. It should be pure cow with
12:03
mixed with other honey or coconut sugar
12:05
like a safe sugar that the body can digest.
12:08
So what other like sugars
12:10
or sweeteners can we use that is most
12:12
safe.
12:13
So honey is very safe and
12:16
it has a lot of nutrients especially if you
12:18
can get local honey it will help boost
12:20
your immune system. You can also do maple
12:22
syrup. You could do Monk fruit you could use stevia
12:24
or coconut sugar.
12:26
All good options. I love
12:28
it. Let's take a quick break
12:30
and we'll be right back.
12:38
Hello out there. This
12:41
is Jenny Curtis.
12:42
I am a podcast producer
12:44
at Kurt co media and I am
12:46
currently sitting alone in a
12:49
very empty podcast studio
12:51
surrounded by hand sanitizer and
12:54
I'm recording this in an effort to reach out.
12:58
It's not an easy time right now. We don't know
13:00
what the day to day is going to look like for the next
13:02
few weeks even months. So
13:04
I'm proposing something let's
13:06
all make something together. Kurt
13:08
Commedia has launched a podcast called
13:10
a moment of your time. These are bite sized
13:12
episodes and each one features you out
13:15
there. Go to Kurt Ko dot com
13:17
slash a moment of your time for more information.
13:21
We may have to stay apart let's
13:24
create together.
13:40
We're back. All the things you're doing
13:43
for charity and to help firefighters
13:45
and you go to food shows you
13:47
Coop lives. I mean the list goes on.
13:50
So obviously there's other people involved.
13:52
And you have you know teams of people that you work
13:54
with. But the drive is
13:58
unbelievable.
13:58
You're unstoppable. And it's a beautiful
14:01
thing to witness. And I think it's also
14:03
very inspiring.
14:04
I know a lot of the listeners
14:07
would want to know how do you really
14:10
continue the course as you do
14:12
and stay positive and and
14:14
get to achieve the
14:16
goals the things that you have in mind that are important to
14:18
you.
14:19
Yeah well thank you for that
14:21
acknowledgement and I guess
14:24
you know I just realized life is so short
14:26
and I don't want to have any
14:28
regrets.
14:29
I don't want to wake up one day when
14:31
I'm 40 50 60 and think Oh man
14:33
I had so many gifts
14:36
from God. I really do believe that God gives
14:38
us all different gifts and we it's
14:41
up to us whether we use them or not. So
14:43
I don't want to waste any of that. And yeah
14:46
I just I cannot stand the feeling of regret.
14:48
It's the worst feeling of
14:51
all I should have done that or I knew I
14:53
should have e-mailed that person all connected with this
14:55
person and I didn't. So I learned that
14:57
early on and yes I just go
14:59
after it each day and work as hard as I can.
15:01
And yeah I mean obviously
15:04
it doesn't always work out. So there's also
15:06
a lot of rejection with this and I think that's what
15:08
people try and avoid when they're going
15:10
after their dreams.
15:11
So I wake up in the Morning now and my focus
15:14
is different so I'm focusing on OK who
15:16
is my who are the people I'm helping today
15:19
and you know every single day and as we're sitting
15:21
here talking there's someone who doesn't have here
15:24
right now because they have cancer
15:26
and they're getting chemo and they
15:28
wish they would have just a tiny
15:30
bit of hair. So I never forget
15:33
that I always remember that and so that
15:35
gets me up in the morning and wants me to be fully
15:37
energized and go out there and help those people who
15:40
want to be helped and want to learn
15:42
about food as medicine and
15:44
want to feel some peace with what they're going
15:46
through as well.
15:48
And I'm also just grateful for for
15:50
life as well you know I'm grateful to have him I'm grateful
15:52
to have hands and feet and so
15:54
I think that putting that into practice like that
15:56
doesn't just come gratitude doesn't
15:58
just come happiness doesn't just come.
16:01
I think we have to work at it and it has to be a choice
16:04
to be dedicated and to
16:06
a bigger purpose also for
16:08
me personally makes a huge
16:10
difference in how I'm motivated
16:12
because if I'm just doing things for me
16:14
I'm less motivated than if I'm actually thinking
16:17
outside of myself where I'm like Who am I
16:19
helping today who can I lift
16:21
up if you connect to that bigger purpose
16:23
then you just naturally start doing
16:25
things again and reaching out. It's almost like
16:28
a pool right instead of a push
16:31
you're you're getting a pool if you're
16:33
connecting to a higher purpose in your life
16:35
and that is of being of service
16:37
for me as a model.
16:39
I was always thinking about my next
16:41
job and you know being my bills
16:44
going from modeling into becoming
16:47
health goes a personal trainer and doing
16:49
all the things I'm doing now has
16:51
really made me way
16:54
more fulfilled.
16:55
I wake up feeling like I am
16:58
in charge of my life. I am my own boss.
17:00
I feel like I am helping so many others
17:02
by being myself because as a model
17:05
I was unable to speak right.
17:07
They were just like Do this
17:09
do that you know you're not asked for input.
17:11
And in this position I'm asked to share my
17:13
thoughts and to share
17:16
my knowledge and my expertise
17:18
in the areas that I'm excited about
17:21
and I think it's not always easy to
17:23
know what your purpose is but sometimes
17:26
something needs to happen in order to find
17:28
it right.
17:28
Because if you didn't have
17:30
the tumor would you do what you
17:32
would do today.
17:34
Exactly. I probably wouldn't. It
17:36
really was the biggest blessing that I've
17:39
had in my life. And that's
17:41
you know that's what's really great about a bad situation
17:43
is we can turn it into a positive and
17:46
if the day yeah.
17:48
It really you know it can be a gift
17:50
in disguise right. It really can be.
17:52
So moving on to
17:54
your new book which
17:57
is so timely anxiety free
17:59
with food a lot
18:01
of people are dealing with anxiety more
18:03
than ever right now. What
18:06
have you discovered. Well doing
18:08
all the research on this book and
18:10
what stood out most to you.
18:12
Wow. Yes sir. This actually
18:14
being my favorite subject yet
18:17
with studying food and mental health.
18:19
So when I found out was that there's
18:21
a lot of support that
18:23
shows that food really does affect
18:26
our mental health. So a lot of science studies
18:29
and what I found fascinating was there
18:31
was some studies that showed that certain foods
18:33
are more effective than antidepressant
18:36
drugs and anti anxiety drugs
18:38
which is remarkable because usually
18:40
there's never a study that shows that food
18:42
is more powerful than a pharmaceutical drug.
18:45
My eyes are going like wood. Are you serious.
18:47
Yeah. That's what I thought when I read
18:49
study after study I was like Wow
18:52
OK. And so that
18:54
was interesting. And also it showed that certain
18:56
foods have less side effects than these pharmaceutical
18:58
drugs as well.
18:59
So if someone does have severe depression
19:01
or anxiety then they're working with
19:03
their doctor or psychiatrist and they want to take
19:05
medication initially just to help them
19:08
they can implement a nutrition plan right away.
19:11
And then as soon as they get their brain chemistry right
19:13
they can go off the meds or
19:16
some people don't even want to take medication at all
19:18
which is understandable.
19:19
Does it depend on how long the depression
19:21
has been in their lives.
19:23
If someone has severe mental
19:26
health issues and if they're suicidal and
19:29
then that's when you should guard you know the medical
19:31
route but if someone has early
19:33
stages of depression anxiety or even
19:35
mild we can change our brain chemistry
19:38
just within a few days with certain foods
19:40
and certain herbs and flowers. It's
19:42
remarkable. And I also found
19:44
a study that showed people who
19:46
have anxiety also have a different gut microbiome
19:50
so anxiety causes
19:52
different gut microbiome which means
19:54
gut health and then having
19:57
certain gut health like if you eat certain foods
19:59
bad foods that cause a bad gut health that
20:02
creates a brain chemistry that creates anxiety depression.
20:05
So they go hand in hand. So I found that was
20:07
interesting. So if we clean up our gut. Detox
20:09
I've got we're going to experience less
20:11
anxiety and then also less
20:14
anxiety creates a healthier gut. And so
20:16
it just gets better and better.
20:18
Everything is connected. So the gut is also
20:21
called the second brain of the body.
20:23
Right. Yes. And it really is.
20:25
And so look what foods would
20:27
be beneficial to eat. And
20:29
I know this is all going to be in your book which
20:32
is to kind of reveal a couple of things
20:34
that you know we can already start doing now
20:36
because your book is only coming out in December right.
20:38
Yes. So excited. Yes
20:40
we are.
20:41
What is magnesium story study showed
20:43
that people who are deficient in magnesium do
20:46
have more stress more anxiety
20:48
more depression so eating foods
20:50
that have magnesium like dark leafy greens
20:53
the chlorophyll again and chocolate
20:55
also has a lot of magnesium and
20:58
then also Amenas proteins
21:01
and a mega fats. So those are the main
21:03
elements to keep the brain chemistry really
21:05
healthy and nervous system really healthy
21:07
so that it doesn't have chronic
21:10
anxiety. So some stress
21:12
and some anxiety is natural and normal especially
21:14
like energy public speaking or you
21:16
know a podcast like having some notes
21:18
is quite natural. But if we have chronic
21:21
nerves and anxiousness all day that's
21:23
when it's not so amino acids
21:26
and proteins are found in animal
21:28
products you know chicken wild fish cross-eyed
21:31
beef eggs. But for vegans
21:33
they can supplement it would be vitamins
21:36
and they are mega fats is it an avocado
21:38
olive oil coconut oil chia seed and hemp
21:40
seed. So when I
21:43
was experiencing anxiety I
21:45
went to a psychiatrist and you know the
21:47
typical treatment is OK. Here's some drugs and I thought
21:49
well hang on I don't want to just take
21:51
that. So I feel like that's going to affect my
21:54
brain chemistry even more so I went
21:56
to a doctor to get a blood test and
21:58
I wanted to see if I was deficient in any
22:00
nutrients and so
22:03
sure enough I was deficient in
22:05
a mega fatty acids. So
22:08
I started to take fish oil supplements and
22:10
eat more wild fish and eat more good fats
22:12
avocado olive oil coconut oil seeds
22:14
cheese seeds and make a smoothie with all
22:16
the good fats and sure enough.
22:19
Very quickly I noticed a huge
22:21
difference in my mood less
22:23
depression less anxiety and
22:26
so I'm so convinced that the brain
22:28
chemistry can change so quickly
22:30
with some foods it's remarkable.
22:32
Yeah especially if you really experience that first
22:34
hand it's one thing to know it. It's one
22:37
thing to read about it it's one thing to teach
22:39
it.
22:39
But then when you experience it firsthand
22:41
you're like OK this is real.
22:44
So when did that happen like when did you do this.
22:47
It was right after I actually got my first
22:49
book deal when I was twenty five was when I started
22:51
to get anxiety and depression and so
22:54
that's when I started to dive into an I always wanted
22:56
to write about mental health and depression
22:58
anxiety you know addiction so it's
23:00
just been a long time coming. I guess the earth
23:02
had to come first and then the cancer free
23:05
you know the quick 10 minutes and it was just so
23:07
timely to do.
23:08
Now do the mental health there was that
23:10
sequence of building up to that
23:13
moment where you can share this and also you readers
23:15
have gone on the journey with you.
23:17
They started here and now they
23:19
can you know continue to learn because there's always
23:21
more to learn.
23:22
It's true. Yeah there's always a lot to learn and
23:25
I've been doing this now eleven years and I've learned
23:28
so much about the science of it
23:30
and you know the details of it but it
23:32
always comes back to the basic
23:34
principles of the earth diet.
23:36
It's like we all need to go back to nature
23:38
and just eat foods that comes straight from the earth
23:40
as much as possible and of solution
23:43
to all of our health problems and the environment is
23:45
if we can all grow our own food as
23:47
much as possible not our
23:49
own backyard that that's the dream that would
23:51
be ideal. And so
23:54
we get the most nutrients from that. It's the most
23:56
fulfilling and
23:58
we can conquer that and all of our impulses
24:00
or desires to eat foods that are processed
24:03
and not good for us will definitely be in
24:05
much better shape. So it does all
24:07
go back to that and that's why when people
24:09
come whether they have cancer or mental health
24:11
issues or thyroid or psoriasis
24:14
it's always like OK well the diet
24:16
plan I'm going to put you on all the nutritional plan
24:19
it's going to be natural. It's going
24:21
to be whole foods but now we
24:23
want to make it fire individual.
24:25
So we want to find out what foods work for you
24:27
because mushrooms are healing but
24:30
they can also be poison for some people.
24:32
Same as tomatoes and potatoes. You know
24:34
it's not all the same foods even though the
24:36
natural and good for every single person. So it's
24:38
finding those ones that come straight
24:40
from nature that are good for you so
24:42
that you'll just live your healthiest happiest life
24:44
forever.
24:45
Yes. Oh that's so refreshing
24:47
to hear because there's not one died for all
24:50
we all have to like check in with our bodies.
24:52
So I do believe everyone's chemistry is different.
24:55
So there's different blood types for a reason.
24:58
You know this. How many billion humans
25:00
on the planet now and there's only
25:02
three different blood types which is fascinating
25:05
and there's different categories in those blood types
25:07
but there's a and then B
25:09
and then there's r right and then you've got a
25:12
B and you've got a negative or positive that
25:14
this three four blood type. So that's
25:16
interesting. So we all have we have different
25:18
blood and that blood it is a
25:20
different chemistry. And so our body
25:23
reacts to foods in a different way.
25:25
And so I don't think dairy is good
25:27
for every single person no matter how healthy
25:29
they are. Even they could be a very healthy
25:31
person if dairy is it doesn't
25:33
match the chemistry. I think that no matter how
25:35
healthy they are or clean their gut they
25:38
may not have a reaction to it but
25:41
it may just kind of throw off or does not
25:43
feel right.
25:44
So I do think genetics has a role to play
25:46
and chemistry definitely science
25:49
changes too right.
25:51
You find a research that says the opposite
25:53
of the reasons you've read like a year ago you
25:55
really like things constantly seem
25:58
to change to move or
26:00
our knowledge expands and it's just fascinating
26:02
to me.
26:03
But I do do think that we should
26:06
not get too confused or overwhelmed by
26:08
all these researches and then really
26:10
just go back to our own lab
26:13
and that's our body right. Everything we put
26:15
in is going to have an effect on how we
26:17
feel.
26:18
That's why I always go back to the earth type because
26:21
it is overwhelming. And you know there's
26:23
new things all the time.
26:24
But one thing that doesn't change one
26:26
thing that stays constant and consistent
26:29
is we can say God or we could
26:31
say nature. It's like there's certain foods
26:33
that grow naturally. And
26:35
I've just been here. And so we
26:37
know that those foods were designed
26:39
for us to eat. And so
26:41
it's basically eating from the Garden of Eden.
26:43
OK. Which ones work for you.
26:46
Which ones are the best for you.
26:47
Eat more of that. Yeah exactly. Eat more of what works
26:50
for you. But then there's also
26:52
this you know the thoughts are
26:54
actions that really make a difference
26:56
day to day like we talked on
26:59
the phone earlier and we were both saying
27:01
that we needed to play more. So how
27:03
are you going to implement more play into
27:05
your life.
27:07
Yes that's a good one so. Well
27:10
I first mentally had to accept
27:12
and choose that of like OK so I'm going to do
27:14
now because my life for the last you
27:16
know decade has been work work work on a mission
27:19
and I'm still committed to that mission
27:21
of helping people with their health.
27:22
But I want to call in more
27:25
balance and more play more
27:27
harmony and more space to do nothing.
27:29
And I think that our world get so caught up
27:31
in that we always have to be doing something.
27:34
And so. I had to mentally unwind
27:36
that like OK now I'm just going to sit here
27:39
and I have no agenda I'm
27:41
not going to do anything.
27:42
I have to think about anything specifically
27:44
and at first it was weird. And
27:47
now you know now I know the importance
27:49
of that and having that space and having that break
27:51
and that freedom and that's also more stepping into
27:53
a feminine type energy as well
27:55
I'm not being so masculine all the time and like going
27:58
in and doing action it's kind of sitting and just
28:00
receiving and just feeling the love
28:02
and just receiving what's coming from
28:04
the entire universe and just taking
28:07
it all in totally and then really
28:09
enjoy like who you are where
28:11
you are who you're with enjoying
28:14
the present moment.
28:15
And so if you know what we're talking about
28:17
receiving what would you invite in
28:20
what would you like to receive in the next six
28:23
months so that you can look back January
28:25
2021 you like my
28:28
goodness that was an awesome year.
28:30
Wow good question.
28:32
So the first thing that came to mind and I
28:34
think what's on the forefront is I've always loved city
28:36
life but I would love to transition to
28:39
be in nature so I
28:41
would love to be living in Florida now on
28:43
the beach very close to the beach I would like
28:45
to call in that and
28:47
just have a beautiful home
28:50
and I'm usually traveling every single
28:52
week. And so I'd love
28:54
to just have to stay still for a little bit
28:56
although I am missing all the food shows of course and
28:58
the Health shows so much.
29:01
I know that so. So your thing and
29:03
then their enthusiasm is unreal
29:05
like how much excitement you have.
29:08
I mean it's really really fun to
29:10
watch. And I so want to thank
29:12
you for for being on the show today
