John also wants us to be unashamed of the gospel and of this hope we have, especially when our time comes to see Jesus fact-to-face. The Blessed Hope in Jesus. Oh, Jesus is going to call home all of us, and some of us, even Christians, will stand before him, and some of us will hang our heads down in shame. Some may be ashamed of the baggage that they are being with them to Jesus. Oh, Jesus will be excited to see his children in heaven, but for us, from the time we became Christians, until the time we meet Jesus, John says to live in Christ so we are not ashamed before him. So we are not shocked when we meet him. The best way to prepare for the coming of Jesus is to never forget the presence of Jesus

1 John 2:28

And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

John chapter 15 verse 4-10

5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

1 John 3:2

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
