Lakeisha is a mother, wife, coach, speaker and author. She just finished up her second personal author book called: I am dominating all of my Internal Sh_t “how to break free from mental & emotional captivity” Now published in 2019. She is a fierce fighter of adverse mindsets and environments as a leader. She is very passionate about empowering women and others, which led her to start her women's empowerment online group TRW from 2014 to 2018. Now, Lakeisha has launched her own Coaching Business. She is a true motivator, empowering and inspiring women from the heart by sharing her own personal story and teaching them how to cope with theirs.
Lakeisha believes in the foundation of building trusting relationships through transparency, and love. From this place of love she took on the endeavor SOLO with her husband, which renders supportive resources to families who have love one’s incarcerated. She was encouraged to enter arenas speaking to her legislators in her local state voicing concerns around mass incarceration and sharing her own personal story, along with attending policy hearings, conferences, doing interviews, sharing her perspective on all prison issues with others, as she continues to do so today.
Lakeisha has been involved with SOLO as an advocated voice connecting with other community organizer’s for the same cause to bridge gaps. She believes that a more united community local and national of people is more powerful and creates effective change we want to see. When we can come together collectively as leaders and people for resolution, including the families and those behind the wall who's voice will speak better than ours to what their lives are like in prison.
