Lauren's journey to her food allergy diagnosis was quite unique. For years, she had been grappling with chronic symptoms, which were later identified as a connective tissue disorder known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) - often referred to as the trifecta. She is committed to using her platforms to raise awareness about these conditions, as many doctors she has encountered have never heard of them. Lauren also shares her personal strategies for managing these conditions, hoping to provide support and information to others facing similar challenges.
On this episode Heidi and Lauren delve into the topic of finding a healthier home and navigating challenges related to mold sensitivity and detox support. Lauren discusses her personal experiences, including staying in moldy environments during travels and the importance of listening to signals from the body and she shares tips on what to look for in a healthier home, including checking for water damage, proper ventilation, and building age considerations.
