By U For U was founded in January 2019 by 16-year-old artivist Kailen Kim. She had joined a number of organizations, but then she started realizing that inclusivity was, in many situations, not an important part of the conversation in those so-called "justice" and "equality" groups. She took it into her hands to start an online network for people to easily share and access their stories, using their own voices. Own words. Own visuals. Own set of shoes they have walked in.
