It's this personal experience that propelled him into his current profession, where he is passionate about helping parents strike a healthy balance—knowing what to share with their children and recognizing when it might be too much, to avoid placing undue stress on young shoulders.

Who is Dan Peterson?

Dan Peterson is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and an Advanced Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach™. With a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, obtained in 2002, Dan brings over two decades of diverse experience to the table. His professional journey has seen him engage in various roles across educational and therapeutic environments, including specialized schools, inpatient care, home therapy, and his own private practice.

As the entrepreneurial spirit behind The Compass 4 Life, Dan's mission is to guide families and educational institutions in managing children with challenging behaviors. His expertise has been instrumental in advising school districts on the development of social-emotional learning programs at the elementary level, enhancing the overall school atmosphere through his tailored professional development sessions, coaching, and strategic initiatives.

Dan's innovative 90-day coaching program is a beacon of hope for parents struggling with children who exhibit behavioral issues and are unresponsive to conventional parenting techniques or interventions. This program is particularly beneficial for children who may have diagnoses such as ADHD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, or other behavioral challenges.
