This week’s guest is Sadie Radinsky, the 16 year old who runs the Instagram account and blog @goodiesagainsthegrain. Her focus is empowering young girls and provides the most amazing inspiration and wisdom as a young woman. Sadie went gluten free at 9 years old, started a gratitude practice when she was 10 and started blogging at 12 years old.  We talked about teenage empowerment, and she has a podcast helping provide inspiration with her community. We talked about her journey into body positivity, and we talked about body shaming and how there’s a norm that it’s ok to talk about someone else’s physical appearance and how we shouldn’t focus on that as much. Sadie is home schooled and we discussed her experience with that. We also talked about mindful social media use, and how she disconnects to be present. Sadie talked about the power of being boredom and the creativity that can bring. She talked about the mentors she’s had and the community she’s had to help her grow her blog. Lastly we covered what she would tell her middle school self, and what she wants to be when she grows up.
