Today’s Lincoln Nebraska weather forcast, as of 5:16 AM on Tuesday, the 25th of June. Overnight, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 65. Then later, Tuesday, mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Tuesday Night, a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Then later, Wednesday, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Sunrise today will be at 5:56 am and the sun will set at 9:02 pm.

Hazardous Weather Outlook. This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest Iowa. west central Iowa. east central Nebraska. northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska. Day one. Today and Tonight. A few storms will continue to move through eastern Nebraska and western Iowa before diminishing this morning. A few of these storms will be capable of producing strong winds, up to 40 mph. There is an enhanced risk of severe storms over southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa late this afternoon and evening. Severe storms are mostly likely between 4 PM and 8 PM south of Interstate 80, with an increasing risk of severe weather with southward progression. Large hail is the primary hazard, with a lesser damaging wind and isolated tornado threat. Flooding continues along the Missouri River from Plattsmouth downstream past Rulo, and along the Missouri River above Lewis and Clark Lake. Days two through seven. Wednesday through Monday. Additional thunderstorms are possible Wednesday night and Thursday. A few of these storms may be strong to severe, capable of producing strong winds and hail. Flooding will continue along the Missouri River from Plattsmouth downstream past Rulo, and along the Missouri River above Lewis and Clark Lake. Spotter information statement. Spotter activation may be needed this evening.
