It is day four in the twelve Strays of Christmas on Big one hundred,
0:03
and we have another wonderful dog from a Forever Home rescue, Walker, a
0:09
four year old male dog, and here to tell you more about him is
0:13
Patty Stinson. Hey, Patty, Hey Lisa, how are you. I'm
0:16
well, how you doing through the holiday season with all these adaptable animals.
0:21
Well, we're, of course trying to get them all into homes and we
0:25
are just absolutely stumped as to why our boy Walker does not have a forever
0:30
home yet. He's been with us for a while. He's a big boy,
0:34
you know, he's our big lug. He's a big hound dog.
0:38
But he's just sweet and he's lovable, and he loves to play and he
0:43
loves ear scratches. He's house trained. He's just a big, you know,
0:49
lovable guy. And you know, we're thinking that the one thing that
0:53
might be holding him back is because he is a little bit bigger. I
0:56
think he's I think he's got seventy pounds right now. And you know that
1:00
may be a little arch for some people, but you know, in the
1:04
grand scheme of things, there's just more to love with Walker. Well,
1:07
he's a coonhound mix. And the fact that you said he's house trained,
1:11
all the work's been done. I mean, just to get a dog that's
1:15
already house trained. Yes, yeah, absolutely, And he's house trained.
1:19
He's leash trained. He will occasionally pull on the leash a little bit,
1:23
and for that reason, we certainly recommend that small children do not walk him.
1:30
But he has been working with our trainer and I actually checked with heurg
1:34
just a day or two ago, and she said he's a great boy.
1:38
She said he's very well behaved and he's you know, it's kind of a
1:42
shock why he doesn't have a home yet. So we're hoping somebody's going to
1:47
fall in love with Walker and take him home so he'll have they forever home
1:52
before the holidays. Well, I'm just looking at him. He is adorable,
1:55
those big floppy ears, those sweet soulful eyes. Taken bucket Walker Wbig

four And how can we find out more about a forever home? And I
2:09
know you're all over social media, so definitely plug that because I'm seeing your
2:14
adorable dogs every day. Well, our social media team is always hard at
2:19
work, you know, putting our dogs out there. We've our website say
2:23
foreverhome dot org, and on all the other social media platforms. We are
2:28
a forever Home Instagram, and I think we do TikTok and Twitter. I
2:34
don't know. I don't do all that. We have people who are far
2:36
more, far more qualified than I am, and they do a fabulous job
2:39
putting our dogs out there. So it's probably a good place to start with.
2:44
Be our website, click on our kids and you can see all of
2:47
our wonderful dogs who are waiting for their forever home. Patti. Let's say
2:51
somebody is listening and they're not quite ready to adopt, but they want to
2:54
help out it forever Home because they know the wonderful work you do. What
2:58
are some ways that they can help? But Forever Home, our biggest need
3:02
is always for foster homes. And fostering can be anything from a couple of
3:07
days to a number of months and everything in between. So it's not a
3:13
commitment that's gonna you know, drag on and on and on. If you're
3:16
only available for temporary foster need here and there, you know, jump on
3:21
board with us, get our emails, and you know, we'll see what you can do to help, and of course financial donations just like every other
3:28
shelter out there, a Forever home dot org. Uh, you know,
3:31
we have to keep the lights on too, just like everybody else. So
3:35
if someone's unable to directly work with the animals, financial donations, adoption help,
3:39
We've got a lot of ways that people can help, and if anyone
3:43
wants to email us at info at a forever home dot org, we'll be
3:46
happy to share all of our volunteer opportunities. Patty, thank you so much
3:51
and I hope we can find the a forever home for Walker, this beautiful
3:55
four year old male dog. Take a look wbig dot com slash twelve strays
