Welsh folk musician Owen Shiers speaks with host Kate Williams about his musical mapping project, Cynefin, set up to preserve songs and melodies from Ceredigion, the area where he grew up in western Wales. Owen tells us about the origins of his project and his musical inspirations, as well as discussing the importance of music to Welsh culture – and we enjoy three tracks from Cynefin's latest album, “Dilyn Afon”: “Myn Mair”, “Y Daau Farch / Y Bardd a'r Gwcw”, and “Taith y Cardi”.
