Joe & Mike (and introducing Martin!) discuss common problems and challenges with prayer in the family. Many families are too busy, experience distractions, or simple have a hard time getting into the habit of a regular prayer schedule. This episode intends to provide solutions to typical issues, discuss common mistakes and provide best practices. This is a heavy-hitting episode for Mothers and Fathers alike. Please see links to the prayers necessary below! A good resolution is to renew our efforts to enforce daily prayers in our families.
1. MORNING PRAYERS – Make sure to include the “Morning Offering” and a Prayer to your Guardian Angel! – “O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my associates, and in particular for the Holy Father and the Poor Souls in Purgatory.”

2. THE ANGELUS (to be said three times a day, historically at 6am, Noon, and 6pm. however another alternative is to say it at each meal) Don’t forget to ring the bell!

3. THE ROSARY – Make sure to say the Rosary every day!! 4.NIGHT PRAYERS – Many options here, but remember as absolutely :

• Act of Contrition
• Three Hail Marys to Our Lady for the virtue of perseverance (each Hail Mary is followed by the ejaculation: “By thine Immaculate Conception oh Mary, make our bodies pure and our souls holy. My Mother preserve us this night from mortal sin.”)
• Nighttime Prayer to your Guardian Angel: “Oh Angel of God, to whose holy care, I am committed to by the Supreme Clemency. Enlighten, Defend, and Protect me this Night from all sin and danger. Amen.”
