Salvation Part 1

In today’s life, everyone is looking for deliveranceand safety, a way that point to peace. It seems everyone you meet, whether old,young, rich, poor, black or white, is experiencing that great magnitude ofheaviness. A torment that is indescribable. Success isn’t the answer anymore.Nothing that ever worked before seems to work now. There seemed to be morepeace and safety when we were less learned and less prosperous. 

The things that frequently haunted us in the dark arenow bold and haunt us by day. How can it be that a world that has made so much progressin ways of conveniences, regress back to so much discomfort? A time when wehave “modern conveniences” at our fingertips: A time if we owncomputers, we hardly have to speak verbally to another human being. It hasbecome a time to be despised and dreaded by many.

Where does the answer lie? Parents are at wits end, becausethe children they have nurtured, loved, and provided for are now looking atthem through hate filled eyes. The children are showing us our love has notbeen enough. How can it be that a working spouse after much dutifulness and faithfulnesscan have the rug pulled from underneath him/her by someone less qualified andless deserving? How can a child, with all of their innocence, experience somuch agony and pain because someone took advantage of them before they couldknow what their body was designed and equipped for.

Who has the answers? Where is deliverance? Where issalvation? With all of our knowledge, jewels, money, and toys: where is thepeace? Is there hope or is it all in vain?

Because of circumstances and because of pains, manyhave ended up in situations they wouldn’t want to see their worse enemy face.There is a sense of torment in the air. Many of us are dealing with torment inour own personal lives that we are beginning to think it’s normal. We thinksuffering and torment are just a way of life. Seemingly, everywhere we go andeverything we hear: torment, in its own sneaky way, is present. He is barelyrevealing himself; yet, he is so easy to see. Torment stays very close to ourneighbors, our loved ones, our friends, and us. He stays around so much untilhe becomes familiar to us and we begin to develop a sense of normalcy in himbeing around. Therefore, we are becoming more and more accepting of hispresence and anguish. He is just an unwelcome guess who shows up all the time,no matter how much you insult him. It is like a boomerang. You throw it awayand it comes right back. You see, no one wants to be bothered with the guess,but like clockwork he keeps coming back. We don’t want him there but we keepopening the door and allowing him to come in. And as time goes on we get lessand less upset to see him because we expect him to come. He is unwelcome butyet expected.

Salvation Part 2

Well, my brothers and my sister, there is a way outand there is hope! When all of our trying has turned into failure, afterfailure, after failure, there can be deliverance in this life! We can be savedemotionally, psychologically, financially, physically but most importantly,spiritually. Today, I would like an opportunity to share with you what has beena saving grace in my life. This plan of deliverance, of hope, and of salvationhas an excellent success rating! Before we can receive salvation we must firstrealize the need exists. I am sure by now many thoughts have run across your minds,as you were able to identify with some of the tormenting facts we discussedearlier. Next, we must begin to look for the solution, the exact route to ourdeliverance, and our salvation from torment.

I submit to you the salvation of Almighty God. Thisplan of salvation soothes and delivers from the worst of torments. It offersyou the ability to walk away form the bondage of torment and despair. Thissalvation can be obtained by anyone who is willing, once again to realize theneed of salvation, admit they do not know the true way of survival in thisworld or how to reach the next world in peace. Confess there is none greaterthan God himself who is all and has created all. Finally, be willing to followinstructions from the book we believe to be our road map for abundant life,that book being the Holy Bible.

Now, you may be saying, “People have been tryingthat forever and failing!” Well, my position is because there is nofailure in God; consequently, we must learn to do this plan of salvationthrough Him and not ourselves. Let me explain what I mean.

Oftentimes we have gone to church or an evangelistcame and got us excited about salvation. So we excitedly recite the planprescribed to live this new delivered life style, just to find ourselves inworst shape than we were before being introduced to the plan of salvation. Iwill try to shed some light on why.

We first have to understand the whole plan ofsalvation is to liberate us from anything that separates us from God. Whatsalvation does is give us the right to say we no longer have to sin. We mayfall, stump our toes, and in other words make mistakes. However, if we hold on“sincerely” to our new walk of salvation through God’s son, Jesus, wecan make it. Not only can we live a saved life but an abundantly saved life.

In order to keep our new found relationship with God,through His plan of salvation, in His son Jesus. Let us look at these basicsteps that can help us to be saved and then stay saved.

1. Repentance - being really sorry forour sins

2. Convert - turn away from thosethings that separate us from God

3. Seek - look for God in His holyword, so you will know His character

4. Acknowledge - pray for answers toall of your questions

5. Expect - expert God to keep youfrom those things that are difficult for you

6. Find - find a church home thatteaches and practices the true will of God

You must be determined in your salvation, in yourdeliverance, and in your newfound life. Let God do His job and keep you.Remember, if you could have done it yourself you would have done it. Never beashamed to take the most intimate things before the Lord. He knows about youand it anyway.

Now, begin you new walk of liberty and of abundantlife!
