Cecilia Austin, also known as SimplyCecilia, is a journalist and content creator with a passion for culture, music, politics and all things related to Batman. We'll discuss everything from transitioning from freelance writing to corporate, imposter syndrome, and the challenges of breaking into the media industry as a POC.

As a Bay Area native, she's written for AARP, AllHipHop, Sway's Universe, Houston Press, and more - interviewing artists and celebrities including Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Common, Jon B., Eva Longoria, Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer, and others. She's also the founder of Yellow Bandit Media, a boutique writing agency that collaborates with brands and media platforms to provide content and consulting for creative professionals.
