Tonight we are joined by Joe Chapentier, an investigative reporter for the Sun Journal newspaper and author of an article that raised questions and brought the disappearance of Celeste Doghmi into the public eye.

Police are investigating the disappearance of 29-year-old Celeste Doghmi, who was last seen in the Auburn, Maine area at the end of July 2021.

Doghmi is a German citizen and her family, who is living out of the country, have not been able to contact her since July 2021, according to a statement issued by police.Doghmi is a 5-foot, 2-inch Black woman, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyesInitial inquiries by the Sun Journal into the woman’s disappearance led to more questions than answers, including why her boyfriend at the time didn’t report her missing, the reasons behind why she became estranged from her family and friends, and what ultimately happened to the then-27-year-old mother who lived in Auburn for two years and whose baby was taken into state custody in April 2023.
