0:37

the tight end position really is the

0:39

next level X factor for the Dolphins

offense, the Dolphins may not

0:44

be done adding to that room here in 2024. We

1:50

today. We've worked through a slew

1:53

of positional groups and the

1:55

final positional rankings that

1:57

are out there specifically for. the

2:00

Dolphins in their anticipated schemes on both

2:02

offense and defense and

2:05

it's been a really enlightening Experience

2:07

to kind of stack a draft board and

2:09

put the Dolphins players on it this year

2:12

that content will come next week rest assured,

2:14

but I do have over 225 players on the draft board and graded

2:19

for the Dolphins and what they do and I've

2:22

been a draft Nick for about a decade now So

2:24

this is I have

2:26

enough in the bank as far as draft classes

2:29

to know This is an above

2:31

average draft class in a lot of ways and

2:33

the tight end position Is

2:36

one that I think has some really fascinating

2:38

competition as far as who are the top? 100

2:42

players that end up getting their name called because I

2:44

think when you put yourself in the shoes of evaluating

2:47

for the Dolphins There are

2:49

a number of needle moving talents

2:52

That could potentially be top

2:54

100 type selections if

2:57

the Dolphins Find good

2:59

value at 21, which there's I'll be honest one

3:01

player that would make that be

3:03

the case or if they Move

3:06

and shake up and down the board and add more day to

3:08

picks or if they move back from 55 or

3:10

even if they stay at 55 like I

3:12

I have a grand total

3:14

of seven tight ends graded with

3:17

first through third round grades in this

3:19

year's class and they

3:21

all do different things and I think that's one

3:23

of the things that makes the tight end position

3:25

one of my favorite to Scout and favor to

3:27

watch and and favor to see

3:30

how they're implemented across the league There's so

3:32

many different ways that tight ends can

3:34

make an impact and every once in a while You'll

3:36

catch one who can do it all And

3:39

that's a really Where the

3:41

conversation starts with Brock Bowers because Brock

3:44

Bowers is of course from University, Georgia

3:46

the consensus top tight end rumored

3:48

to be in the consideration in the top

3:51

10 picks in the class Often

3:53

mocked to the New York Jets. I

3:56

would not be surprised if that indeed is the

3:58

case and the Dolphins don't get an opportunity to

4:00

draft Brock Bowers. I think the general

4:03

consensus of him being a top 15 player in

4:05

this class will manifest itself on draft night. But

4:08

here's what I want to impress on you. I

4:11

don't think the

4:13

drop off from Brock Bowers

4:16

to my tight end two in

4:19

this class is so exceptional

4:22

that this is a all

4:24

or nothing proposition. And

4:28

I have changed the criteria in which I have

4:30

graded tight ends this

4:32

year in comparison to what it

4:34

was last year when Darnell Washington

4:36

was the consensus type top tight

4:38

end for me and

4:40

what we thought the Dolphins needed with an inline

4:42

player who had some linear athleticism and a lot

4:45

of power. This

4:47

might make Daniel offense. It is more angular.

4:49

It is more athletes in space and being

4:52

able to move across the set and having

4:55

some vertical separation, not just running the scene

4:57

because you put your arms in the air

4:59

and you got an eight foot ring span and catch rings. So

5:03

this skews more towards athletes,

5:07

H backs, flex tight ends. They're great

5:09

a little bit more favorably this year.

5:12

Ironically enough, the two guys at the very top are

5:15

guys that can do almost anything. And

5:17

I'm being a little dramatic here just for the sense

5:19

of the like toying with my

5:21

food. And we'll go

5:23

ahead and unveil Ben Sennett from

5:25

Kansas State is my second

5:27

ranked tight end in this year's class. I

5:30

have a early two

5:32

grade on Ben Sennett as

5:34

a player. And

5:37

I think the best way to put him

5:39

into context is to talk

5:41

about who he is and what

5:43

he was for the Kansas State

5:45

offense. Because Ben Sennett comes from

5:47

a Kansas State offense that

5:50

didn't throw the ball all over the field,

5:52

although they did have better quarterback play this

5:54

past year than they've had in many seasons.

5:56

And that's manifested in the numbers for Benson.

5:59

He caught 40. 39 passes for almost 700 yards

6:02

and six touchdowns for Kansas

6:04

State this past season after 31 for

6:08

447 and four touchdowns the previous season. He

6:10

has a career average of 14 yards per

6:12

catch and 11 career touchdowns. As

6:15

a tight end, those

6:17

are strong numbers. But

6:19

then you put that through the lens of

6:22

who he is on tape and not

6:24

just the production and not just the athletic profile, which we're going

6:26

to talk about in a second. He

6:28

does everything. I think

6:30

he's a better inline blocker than Brock Bowers. I

6:33

think they're comparable in space blockers.

6:37

I think they're comparable athletes. They're of

6:39

comparable size. Brock Bowers

6:41

did not do any testing

6:44

throughout the pre-draft process and

6:47

that has kind of created some

6:49

question about the athletic profile or whatever, but

6:51

he's 6'3", at the combine he came in

6:53

at 6'3", 243 pounds. And

6:57

he had 32 and 3' in charms. This

7:00

is a plenty acceptable wingspan and arm length for a

7:02

tight end. When you consider Sam LaPorter

7:04

last year had 31 and a half and that

7:06

was one of the questions for

7:08

him as a player was the length. And

7:10

lo and behold, when you're a former wide

7:13

receiver playing tight end, you run

7:15

routes to a degree where you get the kind of separation that

7:17

it doesn't matter. But

7:20

Ben Sennett, in comparison

7:22

to Brock Bowers being 6'3", 243 pounds, Ben Sennett is 6'4", and

7:27

250 pounds and he has

7:29

32 and 3' in charms versus 32 and 3' in charms. So

7:33

about the same amount of length. The difference

7:35

is we have athletic testing for Ben Sennett.

7:38

We're in a 4'6", 8' with a 1'5", 9' 10 yard split. That's

7:42

70th and 81st percentile respectively amongst tight ends

7:44

in the last 25 years. Ben

7:48

Sennett had a 40 inch vertical jump at 250 pounds.

7:52

He had a 10'6 standing broad jump.

7:54

That's 97th and 94th percentile for athletes

7:57

at the tight end position. He had a

7:59

6'8", 2'3", cone drill. Which is better than most wide

8:01

receivers run that's 96 percentile amongst all tight ends in

8:03

the NFL in the NFL Commines since 2000

8:06

and his two 423

8:08

short shuttle was 81st percentile the

8:11

top hits This

8:13

is where it gets interesting the top hits for

8:15

Benson it from an athletic profile perspective Include

8:18

it's not limited to but it includes TJ. Hopkinson.

8:20

It's top ten pick It

8:22

includes Dallas Clark. It

8:25

includes Sam LaPorta and it

8:27

includes John who Smith The

8:30

difference is I think

8:32

Benson it has TJ.

8:35

Hopkinson out of

8:37

Iowa level blocking capabilities as A

8:40

comparable athlete to Johnny Smith.

8:43

That's it's kind of jarring

8:47

So if the Dolphins want to address and

8:49

not just address but invest in the tight

8:51

end position They're gonna have

8:53

another opportunity and I know

8:55

Benson it gets to the third round and

8:57

all your your mock draft simulator mock draft

9:00

I get it. I'm just telling you me

9:02

evaluating the player. I Think

9:05

there's a lot higher floor and higher

9:07

ceiling here And it softens

9:09

the idea that the Dolphins might not

9:11

get a chance to draft Brock Bowers

9:13

because everybody has romanticized Brock Bowers as

9:16

this Best tight end

9:18

prospect sense and he's

9:20

an outstanding tight end prospect. He's

9:23

my top tight end I think

9:25

the impact that he has in the passing

9:27

game some of the ball skills I think

9:29

that's where he does have an edge over

9:31

Benson. It is the ball skills the catch

9:33

radius the Concentration the contested catch ability that

9:35

he has and brings to the table That

9:38

is all really Needle

9:40

moving stuff as a pass

9:43

catcher that I just don't

9:45

think it's it's fair to expect Benson at

9:47

that Have even

9:49

if he is this plus plus and comparable

9:51

athlete Case

9:54

in point Benson it had a contested catch rate this

9:56

year of 35% which is Obviously

10:00

if you're talking contested catch in 50-50 balls That's

10:04

less than 50-50. So Brock

10:07

Bowers definitively is the top tight end in this

10:09

class, but not the only player

10:11

that when I put it on the horizontal

10:14

draft board Which is where I put all

10:17

the players in their grades in accordance in

10:19

columns by position and then I put

10:22

the Dolphins individual players on there Brock

10:24

Bowers and Ben Sennett are the only two

10:26

tight ends in this class That

10:29

grade higher than both Durham Smythe

10:31

and Johnny Smith. I've

10:33

got another close runner-up as tight end three

10:37

But Brock Bowers and Ben Sennett

10:39

are definitively upgrades over what the

10:41

Dolphins have at the position

10:43

in my opinion with how I have graded the

10:45

players And

10:48

if I told you there was more than one opportunity to

10:50

have that kind of addition to the roster I Did

10:53

I might be surprised some people? But

10:55

that's where I stand on these tight ends. We are

10:58

going to talk about Some of

11:00

the other viable starters long term that

11:02

are available in this class If the

11:04

Dolphins do ultimately choose to invest in

11:07

this position group that is next here on this episode

Price and participation may vary, cannot be

12:41

12:47

having two tight ends and knowing you're going

12:49

to have a swing at somewhere in the first two days at

12:52

a potential upgrade opportunity is a nice place

12:54

to be. But there's more flexibility than that,

12:57

too. And I know I'm a little

12:59

bit on an island here, but

13:01

the way that I find

13:03

the solace

13:06

of being on an island with this

13:08

next opinion that I do ultimately have

13:11

is knowing

13:13

how it worked out last year. There

13:17

was a tight end last year in last year's class

13:20

that I checked in

13:22

significantly higher on and

13:24

really liked the athletic

13:27

profile and how he was

13:29

used and there being NFL translatability to his

13:31

game. It wasn't really talked

13:33

about as a day to pick. He goes in

13:35

the first two rounds and

13:37

that's Brenton Strange from Penn State goes

13:40

to Jacksonville at 61 after Luke

13:43

Schoonmaker at 58. And

13:46

you had to run early with Musgrave in the

13:49

40s and Michael Mayers led to 35

13:51

and LaPorta at 34. Obviously,

13:55

adult and Kincaid at 25. So

13:58

last year's tight end group, it was a busy group with a

14:00

lot of guys that went early. I

14:03

ultimately do think last year's tight end class was better

14:05

than this year's, but there are

14:07

a couple of players that fit the mold of what

14:09

we think Miami wants with their tight ends, including

14:12

this player. My third ranked tight

14:14

end, very closely graded to both

14:16

Smythe and Johnny Smith, is

14:19

Theo Johnson from Penn State. This

14:22

is if you want the ultimate

14:26

athletic profile potential

14:30

type of player. Theo Johnson

14:34

is a former wide

14:36

receiver. He's originally from Canada.

14:38

He gets recruited to Penn State. This

14:42

is the Mike

14:44

Gosecki type athletic

14:47

profile. 6'6", is 92nd percentile. 260 pounds is

14:50

75th percentile.

14:53

His wingspan is 80 and 3 quarters inches.

14:55

That's 78th percentile. 33 inch arms. That's

14:59

longer than both Bowers and Sinnott. 11 inch

15:02

hands. Okay. So now you're getting

15:05

into basketball power forward, small forward type territory,

15:07

just from a size perspective. And

15:09

then he had a 4'5", 7", so he ran a 4'5", 91st percentile. He had a 1'5", 5'10", 10

15:15

yard split, 91st percentile. He jumped 39 and

15:18

a half inches at 6'6", and 260 pounds. That's

15:21

96th percentile. He had a 10'5",

15:23

standing broad jump, which is 93rd percentile.

15:25

And he had a 20 yard short

15:27

shuttle, which is a 20 yard

15:30

short shuttle of 4.19 seconds, which is

15:33

87th percentile amongst all tight ends in

15:35

2000, the NFL Combine. This is like

15:38

everything's 90th percentile plus outstanding

15:41

athlete. And I think when you,

15:44

you look at that profile,

15:47

it maybe paints a certain kind

15:49

of picture of what

15:51

Theo Johnson is as a

15:53

player, but then you watch him on

15:56

tape and you appreciate in the same

15:58

way that was applicable to brand. and

16:00

strange this was just not

16:02

an efficient offense and I think they

16:04

really underutilized and did not do it

16:06

a good service to a lot of

16:09

their talent. So

16:11

there's a late transition, he transitions

16:13

to tight end once he gets to Penn

16:15

State. The

16:18

ball skills are through the roof because he's a

16:20

former wide receiver. There are some

16:22

savvy to utilize his size and

16:24

his length to create separation and

16:28

when he puts himself in tight

16:30

to the alignment at 260 pounds there's a certain

16:33

floor that like you

16:35

just can't perform below and he

16:38

doesn't because he's 260 pounds. Like

16:40

even if you're not the I think

16:42

Ben Sinnett's a better inline blocker and I think

16:45

Brock Bowers is probably a better blocker in space

16:48

but he passes the sniff test on

16:50

both of those things because

16:52

he's ultimately 260 pounds

16:55

and a plus athlete with explosiveness and

16:58

because he's got this massive wingspan

17:01

reach radius influence that

17:04

you just it's the uncoachable element and I think

17:06

that gives him a little bit more wiggle room

17:09

to come into the league and have an impact on

17:11

passing downs and keep his

17:13

head above water in the peripheral

17:15

areas of the game until he ultimately

17:18

does make the jump. I have

17:20

a two on Theo Johnson, would

17:22

not be surprised at all if he goes in the second round. And

17:27

then I have four third round grades at tight end and this

17:29

is where the variance really

17:31

starts to take place. You'll

17:33

notice I haven't mentioned Jatavian Sanders from

17:35

Texas yet. He's in the threes.

17:38

I think he is a little bit more of a developmental

17:40

type player and probably a little bit more of a developmental

17:42

player than I would ideally like to see the Dolphins

17:45

taking. I

17:48

have Jaheem Bell from Florida State rating in the third

17:51

round. I have Jared Wiley from TCU rating in the

17:53

third round. I have Jatavian Sanders rating in the third

17:55

round and I had Caves Tober from Ohio State rating

17:57

in the third round. There's some

17:59

pretty reasonable options of course the challenge out

18:01

of this group is the dolphins

18:03

don't have a third round pick as

18:05

things currently stand the question of Course will be well

18:07

it will they won't they find a way

18:09

to secure one or not? Jean

18:12

bell I really liked this is

18:16

He doesn't have John who Smith

18:18

on his athletic profiles comparables page,

18:21

but he's the player who I think skill set most

18:24

mirrors John is Smith

18:26

and there's some good tight ends here on

18:28

this list including Jordan Reed from

18:30

Florida Is a 80% match

18:33

from an athletic profile perspective Chico Conquo?

18:36

With the Tennessee Titans out of Maryland in

18:38

2002 is another one. That's a match six foot

18:40

two 240 pounds 33 inch arms So

18:43

he's long even though he's not tall or dense

18:47

He's still long you're in a four six I

18:51

Ten four standing broad jump that's 88 and

18:53

91st percentile with a 158 ten

18:56

yard split That's 86 percentile if

18:58

you want to groom the replacement To

19:01

John who Smith who's under contract for two

19:03

years? Jehim Bell I

19:05

think is a player that makes sense, but

19:07

that's kind of where you get into this

19:09

territory of with your premier assets

19:12

Do you not want to add? Snap

19:15

takers for you at a certain volume.

19:18

I'm not sure Jehim Bell's there So this

19:20

is a player that instead I think makes

19:22

a little bit more sense as well as

19:24

the guys after him including should TV and

19:26

Sanders Make a little bit

19:28

more sense if the Dolphins are able to

19:31

add more picks and if

19:33

they are able to capitalize on adding more day

19:35

to picks and The run

19:37

on tight ends doesn't happen because it's a non premium

19:39

position and it's not the draft class that it was

19:41

last year I think that's

19:43

where you can Find

19:46

a little bit more solace in

19:48

taking a player like this on the second day is

19:50

if you have two other contributors out of the class

19:53

Who you feel like are gonna step into

19:55

meaningful roles for you? Jared

19:58

Wiley is The one

20:01

in between Jatavian Sanders and

20:03

Jaheem Bell. He's He's

20:07

super smooth I think that's the thing that stands out

20:09

the most of them he six foot six two hundred

20:11

fifty pounds He's the longest of

20:13

all the tight ends that we mentioned and

20:16

he's also exploded explosive four six forty yard

20:18

dash One six two

20:20

ten yards split that 65th percentile thirty seven

20:22

inch vertical. That's eighty eight percentile Almost

20:25

at ten foot. It was nine feet ten inches

20:27

on the standing broad jump That's still 68 percentile

20:29

and some of the matches for his athletic profile

20:32

include Travis Kelsey

20:34

Martellus Bennett drew sample

20:37

like some meaningful players at

20:40

the tight end position He's not

20:42

the blocker

20:46

that some of these other guys

20:48

are but he's also not the run-after-catch receiver

20:50

that like Jaheem

20:52

Bell is but what he is

20:54

is He's the massive

20:57

catch radius and ball adjustment guy

20:59

I think we invoked the

21:01

name Mike Gosecki talking about Theo Johnson

21:03

But I should think Jared Wiley's game

21:06

is the one that probably most mirrors

21:08

Mike with one big difference This

21:11

dude is not only a straight-line athlete.

21:14

I think that's the biggest difference

21:17

between the two and he I Believe

21:20

was a quarterback before

21:23

transitioning to tight end As

21:26

well, so this is somebody

21:28

who's really tools II athletic

21:30

natural receiver The

21:32

kind of the high point player go back and look

21:34

at the touchdown catch he had against Colorado this past

21:37

season But then they do some

21:39

stuff with him or he's in motion across the set

21:41

and that's where the alarm bells start going off Okay,

21:43

when you're moving the tight end and

21:45

moving him at the snap That's where you you

21:47

kind of sit up in your chair a little

21:50

bit. You say, okay Wow,

21:52

how deep do the does the parallels run with

21:54

what Miami does with their players? And

21:56

this was a player that I think you saw him move.

21:58

They got him on the run to get a

22:00

running start on some blocks on the perimeter. They

22:03

used him as a point man on blocks on

22:05

the perimeter like he could do all that. And

22:09

I think that's why the biggest difference for him

22:11

and Jutavian Sanders is to why I have

22:13

Wylie in front of Jutavian Sanders and

22:16

I of course have Cade Stover also in this third round

22:18

bucket is the biggest question

22:20

I have with Sanders is the

22:22

blocking. I did not see

22:24

a lot of value blocking reps from Sanders

22:26

on tape at all and

22:29

that included in space that

22:32

included against defensive backs

22:34

that was not just oh he's

22:36

in line it's short yardage oh

22:38

he's gonna split flow on inside zone

22:40

and try and kick the defensive end

22:42

and ends up getting walked back into

22:44

the gap. This

22:46

is one-on-one in space

22:49

with a safety and

22:52

the ball carriers got the ball behind him and

22:54

you're the only guys on half the field and

22:57

we still aren't hitting blocks. So

22:59

that for me for Sanders is it

23:02

feels a little bit too much like

23:05

a pass catcher

23:07

only as compared

23:11

to a multi-tool weapon especially when you

23:13

have a pass catcher tight end now

23:15

in John and Smith for the next

23:17

two seasons that

23:20

has that blocking element down. So

23:23

if you want to draft Jutavian Sanders if you're

23:25

the Dolphins please do it in the third round

23:27

after you've added more picks and

23:30

make sure your two picks before that are our

23:32

volume snap takers and then if you want to

23:34

justify we used a third round pick on a

23:37

long-term developmental error for this style of player to

23:39

come into our offense and we think in 2025

23:41

he could be an impact player and

23:44

an error and potentially allow us to

23:46

transition from Johnny Smith early. Okay cool

23:49

but if you're gonna say we're gonna stick at 55

23:51

and we're gonna pick Jutavian Sanders I'm

23:54

gonna ask why because I don't

23:56

see the pathways for him playing early. Based

24:01

off of the tape and the fact

24:03

that out of all of the names

24:05

that we've mentioned He tested the least

24:07

impressively from an athletic profile perspective Out

24:10

of any of this him or the five names in front

24:12

of him in the tight end class issue He

24:15

tested as the worst athlete Got

24:19

some day three guys to just touch on as far

24:21

as guys that are intrigued to me That is we're

24:23

gonna bring this thing home here on this episode of

24:25

locked on dolphins stick with us I

24:30

have been Accurately told that I have

24:32

quite the competitive streak to me and

24:35

my competitive side just so happens to

24:37

be a massive massive Fan of monopoly

24:39

go. I'm sure you've heard of it.

24:41

25:06

Play Time

25:21

for a quick break to talk about McDonald's.

25:24

Mornings are for mixing and matching at McDonald's.

25:26

For just $3, mix and match two of

25:28

your favorite breakfast items, including a sausage

25:30

McMuffin. I

25:49

did a grand total of 13

25:52

tight ends in this class. I may

25:54

sneak a few more in at the buzzer, but they're they're

25:57

all projected as late round guys The

25:59

next three guys are guys that I have day threes on

26:01

or early day threes on as third round grades

26:03

or fourth round grades, excuse me Including

26:06

one player who I have heard a lot

26:08

of questions about probably cuz he played in floor Johnny

26:11

Wilson had a lot of questions out of the

26:13

wide receiver big board and Rankings group

26:16

talking about Johnny Wilson and where does he

26:18

stack for you? Would you like him late

26:21

all that kind of stuff? and

26:23

Johnny Wilson for me, I think is

26:28

too far off the spectrum

26:30

of Traditional

26:34

wide receivers to

26:37

be Somebody I'd feel

26:40

good about projecting to that role case

26:42

in point The athletic

26:44

profiles here is as far as comparable players

26:49

He's six foot six 230 pounds 84 inch wingspan 35 inch arms Yes,

26:56

he ran a 452 with a 155 10-yard split The

27:02

top comparables from a physical

27:05

profile perspective and this is the kind of

27:07

players that I have the same concern with

27:09

include Hakeem Butler from 2019 TJ

27:13

Vasscher from Texas Tech in 2021 Travis

27:16

Fulgham who was here for a cup of

27:18

coffee with the Eagles a few years back

27:21

but came out in 2019 Quinton

27:24

Johnston, I don't see

27:27

the same gear of explosiveness

27:32

that guys like Nico

27:34

Collins who ran a 455 and T

27:39

Higgins and Even

27:41

Mike Evans kind of

27:44

ran a comparable time in

27:47

the Predraft testing than Johnny Wilson,

27:49

but Mike had this really incredible ball

27:55

Tracking ability that while Johnny Wilson makes some

27:57

good adjustments. I don't think he makes those

28:00

adjustments and he's also two inches taller than

28:02

Mike so there's an extra added

28:04

loss of center gravity as far as changing directions

28:06

and your stride length and being able to change

28:09

how you get in and out of your brakes

28:11

whereas if I think if you put him on the

28:14

spectrum of tight ends I think

28:16

that's where you really get intrigued by

28:18

what he can be as

28:20

far as athletic profiles at the tight end position

28:23

that are top fits for Johnny Wilson, Kyle

28:26

Pitts, Mike Kiseki, David

28:28

Injoku, Jelani Woods, Logan

28:31

Thomas, Foster Moreau. Those

28:33

are meaningful NFL tight ends. Now

28:36

you have different kinds of skill sets for

28:38

how they succeed in not

28:41

running routes but

28:43

I think there's enough ambiguity there that I would

28:45

just put him in the classification of being a

28:48

tight end and

28:50

I think in the third round early in the

28:52

or on the third day early on the third

28:54

day the draft that's where you kind of get

28:57

the appropriate risk reward type of conversation for a

28:59

player like that. Also Eric

29:01

Aul from Iowa formerly of Michigan and Dallin

29:03

Hulker from Colorado State. Hulker

29:06

is really good after the catch it really surprised

29:08

me for a guy who

29:10

didn't necessarily have the most robust athletic testing but

29:13

he's got a really good receiving

29:15

prowess and Colorado State

29:18

featured him in the passing game to

29:20

a good degree and I

29:23

was really taken away when I

29:25

watched Dallin Hulker. I think one

29:27

of the challenges here is he

29:30

was originally at BYU starting

29:32

back in 2018 then did the two-year mission and it was

29:34

back in 2021 and 2022 so this a guy who's an

29:36

older player who had 70 percent 60 percent

29:43

of his crew receptions and 60 percent

29:46

of his crew receiving yards and

29:49

67 percent of his career touchdowns 70 percent of

29:51

his career touchdowns came in his one

29:53

year at reduced level of competition at Colorado

29:56

State as an older player. That's

29:59

the question is okay You had the big

30:01

breakout in that regard, but you're not quite the

30:03

same athlete. What's the ceiling there? Is

30:06

it more? Luke

30:09

Wilson from Stanford

30:14

type of conversation maybe

30:17

I Think there's enough

30:19

questions there that that's a day three player, but a really

30:21

intriguing one Tip Reiman

30:23

from Illinois big-time in-line blocker

30:26

probably the best blocker in the entire class

30:29

Had a really really really good testing

30:31

numbers as well The challenge

30:33

for him is he played in an offense that

30:35

just quite frankly could not pass the football with

30:37

any level of consistency so route

30:40

running creating separation Contest

30:43

to catch situations. He got some work down

30:45

the low red zone, but there's

30:47

some questions as far as usage

30:49

that I just don't know that you're gonna have the

30:51

definitive answers to like some of the other guys in

30:53

Class and I have two guys with seventh

30:56

round grades to bring us home with brevin span Ford and

30:58

Trey Knox from Minnesota and

31:00

South Carolina respectfully, so I Got

31:03

seven guys with day one and day two grades two

31:06

guys that I think would step in and had potential

31:08

to be the best Titan on the roster a

31:11

number of other guys that could be long-term

31:13

errors or successors to roles that Miami in

31:15

this offense the past Two seasons has had

31:17

or pursued It's really interesting

31:19

to me It's a really interesting group

31:21

and crop of players and I would not be

31:23

mad about seeing that often Invest in it if

31:25

they were serious about being more of a 12

31:27

personnel team the

31:30

challenge is Getting

31:32

a proper intersection of pick and

31:35

value With the

31:37

limited resources that you have and

31:39

again It's a finite limited resource

31:41

league and that's what makes it

31:43

so super Unenviable for all of the layers

31:45

of these decisions that compound on stack on

31:47

top of each other You can only do

31:49

so much But

31:52

if you went the tight end route, you now know where I

31:54

stand That's gonna do

31:56

it for us here on this episode of locked on

31:58
