The trade deadline hangover continued as the White Sox dropped the finale & were swept by the Texas Rangers. Sox lost on Thursday afternoon by a score of, 5-3. They got to Max Scherzer early on, scoring three runs in the first inning but could not completely make him pay for his erratic control. Sox were not able to score the rest of the game, striking out 14 times while drawing only two walks. Trayce Thompson was in the lineup in the finale and he went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. The Sox are (43-67) and there's no signs of it getting better. With the focus being on 2024 and Yasmani Grandal more than likely not coming back next season, the Sox have loaded up on catching prospects as of late. The Sox are in Cleveland for the weekend and Mike Clevinger is on the hill to kick things off.
