This week we are going to discuss what to do when your partner is unmotivated put effort into their appearance in order to keep the attraction and romance alive.

Our chosen letter this week comes from Andrew;

Hi Nikki and Cleo,

I’m starting to find my girlfriend less and less attractive. We’ve been together over a year now and at the beginning she put effort into how she looked. I’m not saying she got made up like a model everyday, but I appreciated the small things, like making sure she washed her hair regularly, shaving often enough, taking care of her skin and wearing clothes that looked good on her.

I’ve noticed that when we watch the telly, she’ll make mean comments about pretty actresses and say things like women shouldn’t care how they look, or, why is that girl trying so hard to impress that guy, he should like her for who she is not how she looks. 

Now she only dresses well and puts on a bit of makeup when we go somewhere really, really fancy and that’s rare. I know she’s under pressure at work, and her office doesn’t really have a dress code, but I wish when we spend time and go out together it could be like how it was at the beginning.
