Welcome to our weekly quarantine relationship exploration.
In this episode, I interview my college roommate, Kira. Kira lives in Pagosa Springs, a small Colorado town an hour away from the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in Dulce, NM, where she grew up. Commuting to work for the school system on her home reservation, Kira continues to see the difficulties and strain this pandemic has placed on our country's indigenous families.
We discuss the balance required to process the personal burden of providing stability to students who are confused and scared by this lockdown and being emotionally available to a family recently adapting to living under the same roof again. Oh, and throw in a relatively new relationship just to see how much she can handle it.
Join us every week for a series of interviews exploring relationships of all varieties during the COVID-19 pandemic.
