The western holy works, such as the Bible and Book of Mormon, show us a mix between a loving God and a God that provokes fear—a God that wants us to live a certain way or else! Religion tends to showcase a lifestyle of "commandments" as a way of getting us to live in fear of judgement from God, which ultimately restricts our freedom. In this episode, I share one of several impactful experiences I had with the scriptures that actually helped me leave religion in pursuit of something much more pure, the path of unadulterated spirituality.
