"Gold Dime is the project of drummer/vocalist Andrya Ambro, who we first encountered as part of the amazing duo Talk Normal several years ago. These days, along with Ian Douglas-Moore and Brendan Winick, Ambro drives the propulsive, disjointed post-punk grooves of this project with her impressively relentless and unique drum technique - all while delivering an impressively strong lead vocal. The trio dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to show us how they pull their huge sound together live.

Maia is a songwriter, artist, producer, and podcast host based in New York City. She's also a singer, multi-instrumentalist and frequent tinkerer, who has spent time in Haiti and Colombia studying folkloric music and drumming. She has spent the past decade-plus riding her bike around Brooklyn, interviewing your new favorite bands for BTR, making show posters, befriending street cats, making records, touring the country, and filming everything along the way.Maia can frequently be found playing around town -- and elsewhere -- with her latest musical projects, or playing various instruments while on tour with Mirah. In addition to hosting BTR Live Studio and Mutual Core, Maia has contributed to Tom Tom Magazine and Homoground.com, among others.
