Why You Don't Want A Workshop, Course, Coach, Or Book To Tell You How To Run Your Business
There's a whole lot of noise out there telling us how to build and run our business. But after four years of running my own business and supporting hundreds of my coaching clients in theirs too, I've learned over and over again that nobody knows what our business needs better than we do. And when we look to others to tell us what to do, we can usually find ourselves getting a little lost and disconnected from our business along the way.So in today's episode I'm sharing why we shouldn't want a workshop, course, coach, or book to tell us how to run our business, and instead why they should be a catalyst for our own discovery and exploration in our work. Because when we look for someone else to tell us what to do, we outsource the leadership of our business and the only person who can ever truly lead it is ourselves. So if you ever feel like you’ve been listening to all of the noise but you’re not feeling any closer to where you want to be in your work, this is the episode for you. My biggest hope is that today’s episode can encourage you to know that you are the expert of your own business, and that you are oh so capable of moving it forward every step of the way too.And if you'd like to connect more you can find me over on Instagram, and dive into more of my work over at my website too.My website and Instagram
Why I Believe In A Slow & Steady Approach To Business
What if there was a different way to build a thriving business than the path of hustle, hustle, hustle that's been modelled to us? What if we could thrive in our life every step of way too? In this episode I share how I've recently crossed over into six figures in my business and why, after four years now of taking a very slow and steady approach to my business, what I am most happy about is that I’ve been able to reach that milestone while also being able to work less, live more, and find more fulfilment and joy in my business and life too. Because I don’t believe that we should sacrifice ourselves in the pursuit of success, and I don’t believe that fast and furious is the very best way to build a business either. So in this episode I dive into why slower is sometimes better when it comes to business growth, why I believe it’s just as important to thrive in our life as it is to thrive in our work, and why how we experience the journey is always way more important than the destination we’re trying to reach. And if you'd like to dive deeper into your own business, my Uncover Your Big-Hearted Business mini book may be a great place to start and you can download the PDF through this link here. If you'd like to dive into more of my work you can head over to my website here - I'd love to connect with you more soon!My website
Chapter 12: Nobody is going to do your business (or your life) for you
For this season of the show I am sharing with you the audiobook of my mini book, Nobody Is Going To Do Your Business (Or Your Life) For You, which I published last year and is a collection of essays sharing the lessons I've learned about bridging the gap between where we are now and where we truly want to be in our creative work and lives. If you'd like to find out more about my mini books, which I create exclusively for my Weekly Letters community, you can over at
