If RACISM had a relationship status, it would read; ‘it’s complicated’. This is not a one sided, one dimensional topic. It’s simply not so black and white. It is not exclusively owned or experienced by any one section of the human race. The truth of what it is by definition is clear. But the expression of what it is to the individual, is heavily influenced by experience and perception. This is the first episode telling the story of my experience with this slippery beast. I believe through sharing we will understand, through understanding we will empathise, and through empathy we will build bridges and restore what has been broken. I believe we are created equal.
