One's concept or belief about God will shape their belief about God's will for them. For example, how God is portrayed in the Hebrew Bible,  the New Testament,  the Quran or any holy book affects the beliefs of those who accept them as true. 
Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, came to understand God as unchangeable Truth, the Principle of absolute good that is personal to us when we recognize God within us as our indwelling life, intelligence, love, and power.
