Katherine and Stefanie do not hold back on this episode!  Katherine has 3 children, including one child who has high functioning autism.  She is married to former NFL player, Chris Spencer.  She discusses the hardships of having 3 kids in 3 years, moving a total of 27 times throughout her husband's career, and finally finding her community in Nashville, TN.  Stef and Kathrine discuss the importance of advocating for your own child.  Katherine recalls her journey to her son's diagnosis.  The road was paved with a misdiagnosis of ODD and a lot of parental blaming.  She discusses the importance of parenting your children individually, recognizing their strengths and weaknesses and not putting labels on kids.  She discusses the hardship that having an autistic child puts on a family and the other siblings.  Mom shame is a real thing and shouldn't be!  Stef and Katherine emphasize that you never know what someone is going through and that you should always be kind.  They discuss that motherhood is a season, the importance of girl's nights and even touch on the current mass shootings in the US.  Buckle up for a great episode!
