I was reading the book “Good to Great: How to grow your audience through collaboration” by Jared Easley. There is one section that talks about the rule of 3%. In many cases when it comes to marketing, the number of people (out of 100) that take action is THREE.
So when you start thinking, “Normally have 60 people at a gig, and if 50% of them buy t-shirts that will be BIG MONEY. I’m here to tell you that if you have 60 people at a gig, you can expect to sell maybe 2 shirts. We want to test this theory.
