one easy way to do it is use the host

0:44
find it, check it out, and it's a great way
0:47
to improve your low time. Welcome
0:51
to another episode of Marketing School.
0:53
I'm Eric Sue and I'm Neil Patel,
0:56
and today we are going to talk about the quickest,
0:58
easiest way to boom to email open
1:01
rates. All right, so I only
1:03
have one tip that works really well. Technically,
1:05
have a few tips, but I have
1:07
a really simple tip
1:10
that I'll just boost your email open rates. You
1:12
know what it is? What is it? You ask
1:15
a question within your email, and you'll
1:17
be like, how's this going to boost my open rates? When
1:19
you ask a question in your email, you're going to get a
1:21
ton of responses, especially if it's a yes or no question.
1:24
A lot of people will start seeing your email or
1:26
email providers will start seeing you as
1:28
someone that they trust, they have conversations
1:31
with. So then your emails will struggling into the
1:33
inbox. So then whatever future
1:35
emails you send, they're much more likely
1:37
to be in the inbox over the promotions tab or
1:39
the spam tab, and your open rates will
1:41
go through the roof because they're in the inbox
1:44
versus not in the inbox. Now,
1:47
there of course are many tips that you can do
1:49
on copy to increase your open rates, but
1:51
if you can't get your placement into the inbox,
1:53
your open rates are going to be crap no matter what copy
1:56
you use. And that's why I started with that tip. Yeah,
1:58
and that works really well. We've talked about the nine
2:01
word email from Dean Jackson. It's just where
2:03
you ask, Hey, Neil, are you still interested
2:05
in buying a one hundred million dollar a yacht? Maybe
2:07
not the one hundred million dollars, but are you still let's see you offten into
2:10
a list and then every quarter so I might ask
2:12
Neil if he's interested in the yacht. He's probably not ever
2:14
going to be unless it's for tax purposes. Maybe
2:17
you asked that question. The point is you
2:20
are. Basically it's
2:22
the same thing. You're getting people to engage. And this
2:25
is so effective, in fact that recently for
2:27
our we're calling a consulting school now,
2:29
but for the consulting school program we
2:32
previously were sending people we said, hey, if
2:35
you're interested, you can book a call, and then we just give him
2:37
the schedule once link. But
2:39
now what we do is we write, we have
2:41
a copywriter that writes good copy, that takes
2:44
that's influenced by my YouTube videos or my
2:46
tweets or whatever, and there'll be an email. But
2:48
at the very end, it's like, hey, type reply
2:50
if interested, and that works
2:52
really well. The response rates are
2:55
way higher, the click rates are are way
2:57
better. And the beauty of this is
3:00
I think just yesterday that led to a
3:02
just from one email led to a ten thousand dollars sale
3:05
because someone responded and then we
3:07
sent them afterwards, we sent them the link,
3:09
and good for email deliverability,
3:12
right, but also good for you know,
3:14
engaging with people and getting sales. Yeah.
3:16
And then the other thing that you can end up doing
3:18
is there's simple tricks like adding their first
3:20
name into the subject line, shortened
3:23
point asking questions. Lowercase
3:25
subject lines tend to produce more
3:27
open rates because it looks like a friend's writing
3:30
it to you versus then something
3:32
that's all capitalized and proper. So
3:34
those are some quick tips too to boost your open rates.
3:36
