My name is Matthew Kerr, Lexington Kentucky native, business owner and now host of my very own podcast. I started Matthew Kerr Sports for the love of all topics in sports; talking sports is simply fun. I believe that when it comes to sports talk, what drives listeners to tune in on a daily basis isn’t necessarily the daily breakdown.

My goal is to make listeners on a daily basis twist their head to say, “I never thought of it that way.” I believe listeners want an entertaining representation of the facts, and a colorful insight to those facts given. What drives listeners to regularly tune in to a sports podcast is a hosts ability to emotionally connect listeners with the stories. Even better, analogies that better connect listeners with the athletes in those stories. Athletes are human just like the listeners and we have a lot more in common than we realize. My quest is to put a spin on the hits in sports and offer a fresh perspective that creates a connection between myself, the sports topics being discussed, and most importantly the listener. That is my mission, this is my passion.
