2:37

2:39

Your Day podcast , and I'm so excited

2:41

to be sharing this interview

2:43

today that I know it's

2:45

going to change your life . And , just

2:48

like all of the other amazing people that

2:50

I get to interview on the podcast , this

2:52

one is not far behind

2:54

. I mean , she is just such

2:56

an amazing person that I

2:58

had the pleasure of meeting in March

3:00

while I was going through my IPEC

3:03

certification . But getting

3:05

to meet her and seeing

3:09

how much she invests and the people that

3:11

she teaches , she just got such a

3:13

giving heart And every

3:15

opportunity that we were

3:17

in interaction , it was just an

3:20

amazing experience . So I knew I

3:22

had to get her on the podcast to be able to share

3:24

her with you guys . So

3:26

, without further ado , i

3:29

want to introduce you Bridget

3:32

Simmonds , who is the CEO

3:34

, but not the traditional CEO

3:36

. She's a Chief Empowerment Officer

3:39

, life and Leadership

3:41

Coach , and I'm so excited

3:43

to have you on the show , bridget .

3:45

Oh , what an intro . Thank you

3:47

so much , jessica . I feel so honored

3:50

and blessed to have met you and connected

3:53

with you , and that you've invited me

3:55

here to have a conversation Very , very excited

3:57

.

3:58

Absolutely , absolutely . So

4:00

let's jump right in . I love the

4:02

experience that you were able to share with

4:04

everyone , but , of course , i know

4:07

part of your story and the audience

4:09

doesn't . So tell us

4:11

who are you and how

4:13

you got started in the journey that you're in right

4:15

now .

4:17

So I love that question who are you , as

4:20

a coach , gone through so many types

4:22

of courses

4:24

like IPEC , i was a student sitting in

4:26

your seats at one point and I geeked out

4:28

on all things personal growth and development

4:30

. So when you said the question , who

4:32

are you ? My simplest answer to

4:35

that is I am love . So

4:37

I've whittled everything that I

4:39

am to pure love

4:41

and everything that I do stems

4:44

from that , being that I know

4:46

that I am , which is love . But

4:49

people want to know more than that Typically

4:51

. So I am a

4:54

daughter , a sister , a

4:57

loving friend and fun

4:59

comedian to anyone around me . I

5:02

enjoy elevating people

5:04

and supporting people and becoming

5:06

who they know themselves to be

5:08

that they can answer that question with a sense

5:11

of ease and confidence . And

5:13

so , yeah , i'm a coach . I love

5:16

everything sunshine and palm

5:18

trees . I'm from the beautiful state

5:21

of Florida and come from the

5:23

island of Jamaica my parents and my

5:25

heritage So island things

5:28

and tropical places is

5:30

kind of in my bones .

5:33

I love that Being in Florida

5:35

too . I'm actually a New Yorker term Floridian

5:37

So I love it here , and

5:39

I had some years in Puerto Rico also , so

5:42

I totally understand the whole Caribbean

5:44

island . I don't think I'll ever

5:46

leave Florida from here , from Central Florida

5:49

moving to the beach .

5:50

Yes , That's my next move to

5:52

. I'm like there's no place else to go but the

5:54

edge of some water . Why

5:57

would you go inland after this ?

5:59

Exactly , exactly . So

6:02

tell me what inspired you to

6:04

become an entrepreneur .

6:07

Oh gosh . Well , both my parents are entrepreneurs

6:09

, my dad longer than my mom . So it's

6:11

always been something that's been in front of

6:13

me And , interestingly enough , recently

6:16

I was hanging out with my mom and

6:18

was asking her what my grandfather

6:20

did her father , because I never met her and

6:22

she was actually raised by her aunt And

6:25

she knew her aunt as grandma more

6:27

than my grandfather , who I never met , and

6:29

he was an entrepreneur And I'm like , oh my goodness

6:31

. So he used to collect taxes in

6:34

Jamaica . So it runs

6:36

deep . And what inspired me , beyond

6:38

that internal subconscious

6:40

knowing , was I I

6:47

don't know if it's because I'm a Sagittarius

6:49

and we're known to be do not

6:51

box us in , don't pin me down

6:53

. It's in my nature to not feel

6:55

restrained or restricted or

6:58

to have someone tell me what to do , and I've kind of been that

7:00

way since I was a kid . I

7:02

mean , my parents did an amazing job , but I was

7:04

one that could not wait to grow up . I

7:06

don't know if your parents said the same phrase

7:08

. A lot of parents tend to say when you want

7:10

to do what you want to do , but it's not going

7:13

with what they want , that they say while you're

7:15

under my roof , you'll do it my

7:17

way , and every time I heard

7:19

that , i was like you know what , i can't wait to get under my own

7:21

roof because you know what , if

7:23

that's what it takes is my own roof to do it

7:25

my way and be free and give me my own roof .

7:29

So , so I love that . I love that you say that

7:31

because I am an empty nester , but

7:33

at a young age , i think , because

7:35

it was sooner than I expected . I see a lot

7:37

of people that have their kids still living

7:39

at home and my oldest

7:42

daughter was like , i think , from the moment

7:44

she turned like 12 , she was like I can't wait to have

7:46

my own place and being

7:48

able to just live life on her

7:50

own terms . And she's doing just that

7:52

, which is great , but she still comes around

7:55

and she's still , she's always going to be my baby

7:57

, you know , but definitely

7:59

kids nowadays have that sense of

8:01

independence . So I totally get

8:03

it . Totally got it .

8:04

And I felt that way , working like

8:06

it wasn't a parent child relationship

8:08

, clearly , but having a full time job

8:11

was just something I thought I was supposed

8:13

to do . so I just followed that path

8:15

like , oh , what's everybody doing ? getting a degree

8:17

, okay , let me go to college and get a full

8:20

time job ? okay , what do we do after this ? oh , we get a full time

8:22

job with a cubicle , oh , okay

8:24

. and just following that conveyor belt

8:26

of predictability , i , when

8:28

I , when I got to the end of it with the

8:30

job , i just felt like this

8:33

cannot be the only thing

8:35

, and the entrepreneurship

8:38

and the freedom and flexibility and the

8:40

autonomy that came with that lifestyle

8:42

was pulling me because of

8:44

my you

8:46

know dislike of what it felt like incorporate

8:48

. not like anything's wrong with that . I feel like it has its

8:50

place for people And it was

8:52

hugely beneficial for me . It

8:55

just didn't align completely

8:57

with who I am .

9:00

I love that . and let's dive

9:02

a little bit deeper on that freedom

9:04

and flexibility , because a lot

9:06

of times we crave that

9:08

right and we think that the

9:11

entrepreneurial journey is the end all

9:13

be all of freedom and flexibility

9:15

. And we both know very

9:17

well that there are times

9:19

that even in the entrepreneurial journey

9:21

we become almost like

9:24

enslaved to our business right

9:26

because we're doing all the things . So

9:29

how would you differentiate

9:32

that freedom and flexibility expectation

9:35

that you had from leaving the

9:37

corporate space to where you

9:39

are today ?

9:41

Oh my gosh , you said a whole mouthful , jessica

9:43

. So what's

9:45

funny and just

9:47

fascinating to me is

9:49

I read a book before I left corporate

9:52

to become an entrepreneur , called the e

9:54

myth revisited . Have you read that book before

9:56

? Absolutely Yeah , and he talks about exactly

9:59

what you just said , that many people are like I'm

10:01

going to be an entrepreneur So I

10:03

can be free and end up

10:05

working way more , way harder than

10:07

they did for someone else . And

10:10

though I had that knowledge and this

10:12

is the key differentiator between

10:14

hearing something and learning something logically

10:16

and embodying it because , though I knew that

10:18

, i did get swept up and

10:20

caught up in it and I feel like at first it's

10:22

you have this sense of responsibility

10:25

and an a not very

10:27

true statement , but it feels true at the time

10:29

that if I'm not working , i'm not making money . So

10:31

there's this underlying pressure to

10:33

constantly feel like you're in motion , and

10:36

I also feel , for me , i

10:38

was repeating the same behavior that

10:40

I did working in corporate . If you looked

10:43

at my calendar and corporate and my calendar

10:45

after I became a full time coach , they

10:47

looked exactly the same . I was just seeing different people

10:49

, and it took me getting

10:52

to a space of burnout and overwhelm

10:54

and really like why am I

10:56

doing ? this I don't feel any more

10:59

free and that's what I was after where

11:01

I feel like that becomes the journey of

11:03

the entrepreneur . It's less about the business

11:05

and the thing that you're selling And

11:08

it really is a personal growth journey

11:10

and an understanding of you and a becoming

11:12

of yourself . And it

11:15

takes sometimes getting into a

11:17

space where it didn't pan out the way that

11:19

you thought it could . But what's powerful about

11:21

it to me versus being an employee

11:24

for people who resonate with that type of lifestyle

11:26

is that you get to choose a

11:29

career and , over again , what it

11:31

feels like and what it looks like . So once it got

11:33

overwhelming to me and I'm still in the midst

11:35

of it , so don't be fooled . I haven't completely

11:38

conquered the staffed

11:40

and packed schedule , but

11:43

realizing that it was painful was

11:45

a great , great opportunity

11:47

to begin to ask myself

11:49

what does freedom and flexibility

11:52

truly mean and look like and

11:54

how do I make decisions that align with that

11:56

in my business and in my life ?

11:59

So , very true , it becomes more of an opportunity

12:01

of , instead of chasing

12:04

freedom and flexibility , you're almost chasing

12:06

purpose . Rather , you know better

12:08

than anything else that you can possibly do

12:10

, and I've

12:12

been there because you know . As you know

12:14

, i left the corporate space to and found myself in

12:16

the same position . My calendar was

12:18

so full that even my family members

12:20

had to let me know when was a

12:22

good time to call , and it's not a good feeling

12:24

right to be able to do that . So

12:27

you said something

12:29

really important that resonated

12:31

with me , which was becoming of

12:33

yourself . Tell

12:35

me more about that , and

12:37

whether it's your personal life or

12:40

the experience that you've had with your own clients

12:42

of how important that pieces .

12:46

So for myself and for

12:48

my clients , both for every

12:50

human being , i'm growing

12:52

to understand that when we were born

12:55

, we have a sense of limitlessness

12:58

and fullness , that

13:01

if our parents

13:03

had an

13:06

understanding of that when

13:08

they had children , they would likely raise children

13:10

differently . But most of us just

13:12

become products of what and

13:14

who raised us and so forth , and

13:16

then the pattern continues . So

13:19

I feel like that's the beautiful , juicy

13:22

part of life . We're born with this knowing

13:24

and this sense , and if the outside

13:27

world , ie our

13:29

household , doesn't foster

13:31

that and pull it out of us and enhance

13:33

it , but instead puts on

13:36

us expectations and rules

13:38

and lets us know

13:40

as young people , oh , that's acceptable

13:42

, that's not . That then forms us into

13:45

a space that may or may not align

13:47

with our actual , true nature that we

13:49

popped up on the earth with . So

13:51

then , when we get out of the house and we're under

13:53

our own roof , so to speak

13:55

, we then get the opportunity

13:57

to become And

14:00

it really isn't . It's not

14:02

a shift or a change . It's

14:04

actually a returning to what

14:06

you were when you were born , that

14:09

before all of the rules and pressures

14:11

and expectations and disappointments and heartbreaks

14:14

and the things that molded you , become

14:17

what you think is true That we , the

14:19

becoming , is what life is really

14:22

about And it doesn't have an endpoint to

14:24

it . There's a constant and persistent

14:26

unraveling and discovery

14:29

of ourselves that , quite

14:32

frankly , not a lot of people take

14:34

full advantage of that . They

14:36

get to change their mind , that they get to

14:38

be . You know , kids play pretend

14:40

and one day they're a ballerina and

14:43

the next day they're a firefighter . We

14:45

get to play that same way . But

14:47

oftentimes adulthood becomes

14:49

this space that we feel we

14:52

are just stuck What we've . You know

14:54

we're too old or stuck doing what we've always

14:56

been doing and what the family has always been doing

14:58

. So , yeah , becoming is the

15:02

crux of what life is

15:04

about for me and for the people

15:06

. I work with as a coach .

15:08

I love that , and you hit it right

15:10

on the nose about there's no destination

15:12

to it , it just

15:15

you never stop evolving , and one

15:17

of the things I say when I'm working with entrepreneurs

15:19

is where you are now is not

15:21

where you'll be a month from now , three months

15:24

from now , six months from now , because

15:26

as your vision evolves

15:28

, your business evolves and you're

15:30

in a constant period

15:32

of growth , so it

15:34

never ends .

15:36

Yeah , and not to judge that . Like I

15:38

love that you said that , it makes me smile , i think about

15:40

. There's a retreat that I'm planning for October

15:42

and it had one name for the last

15:44

three weeks And I talked to my retreat

15:47

coordinator curator on Friday

15:49

and now it has a whole different name And I'm like

15:51

, oh , this is it . This feels more

15:53

alive . And there was part of me that

15:55

wanted to judge like , oh man , what

15:57

am I gonna look like Switching

15:59

it up ? And then I'm like , nope , this is it

16:01

. And we get to do that . We really get

16:04

to evolve and shift and change

16:06

and see what feels right

16:08

, what doesn't , and respond to that

16:10

.

16:11

Absolutely , absolutely . What

16:13

, would you say , is your biggest

16:16

pet peeve ?

16:20

Oh man , my biggest pet peeve

16:22

is stagnation

16:25

.

16:27

Tell me more .

16:30

So I'm growing into knowing I don't always

16:32

have to be in motion , kind of like our conversation

16:34

a few moments ago around

16:37

just booked and busy and hustle . I don't

16:39

like that And I don't feel like it's necessary . I

16:42

think rest is luxurious and

16:44

necessary and

16:47

just as powerful as achievement . However

16:50

, stagnation is

16:52

going against nature

16:55

to me . It are

16:57

natural want and anything

16:59

that's living wants to expand and

17:02

take up space and grow

17:04

. Even if it seems and

17:06

appears to be at rest , it's still in that space

17:09

of expansion and growth . So when

17:11

someone or even

17:13

an organization or unit

17:15

refuses to

17:18

grow for whatever reason , sometimes

17:20

it's a fear of the unknown , sometimes it's

17:22

whatever it is . That

17:25

is one of my biggest pet peeves is

17:27

not wanting to stretch and grow

17:29

and be open-minded or challenge

17:31

the status quo , and understandably

17:34

so . Change is uncomfortable . We

17:37

love and live for comfort , but

17:39

if your choice is to remain stagnant

17:42

, then oh okay , i'm

17:44

gonna leave you right where you are . It irks me

17:46

, but I wish

17:48

that wasn't the case right now .

17:51

So good . It's funny that you say that , because

17:53

my I have like a little affirmations

17:56

thing . Obviously people can't watch

17:58

it , but it's right on my desk and

18:00

I bought it on Amazon And today , for

18:02

April 25th , it says once

18:04

mined , once stretched by

18:06

a new idea never regains its

18:09

original dimensions . So

18:11

it's like right aligned

18:13

with what you're saying and

18:16

avoiding being in that status

18:18

quo . You mentioned also resting

18:20

. A lot of people can

18:23

look at resting or

18:25

even self-care , which seems

18:27

to be like the trend , the topic that everyone talks

18:30

about now . They look at that as

18:32

As if

18:34

it's wrong to do , it's

18:36

wrong to have rest , It's wrong to spend

18:39

a little self-care time , whatever that looks

18:41

like for you . So what are your thoughts

18:44

around self-care ?

18:46

Oh , it's critical . Like the

18:48

way I look at it is yourself is

18:51

what you're using

18:53

to drive , whatever you're trying to drive

18:55

, and if you don't take care

18:57

of that self , then how much more

18:59

can you drive that thing ? It's like a vehicle . If

19:02

you don't maintain it and take it in

19:04

for its regular tune-ups and oil changes

19:07

, or turn it off , park

19:09

it , if you just drove

19:12

and drove and drove and drove , how long

19:14

will that vehicle take you where it needs to

19:16

go with as much power

19:18

? How much can it maximize

19:21

the use ? And if your vehicle

19:23

is your body , your physical body , and you don't

19:25

take time to maintain

19:28

it and see

19:30

to it that it's taken care of , how

19:32

much can you maximize its use ? So

19:35

yeah , self-care is critical . I

19:37

call it luxuriating . It's my favorite

19:39

thing to just lay and stare

19:42

at the sky And some people think it's

19:44

oh , i gotta get a massage . It really

19:46

is as simple as taking a moment to

19:48

breathe or saying no

19:50

to something that you truly don't

19:52

want to do is

19:55

taking care of yourself and paying attention

19:57

to the signals and signs that yourself

19:59

is constantly giving us , versus just

20:01

barreling through them just

20:04

to get things done . I think I

20:06

feel like a lot of us , especially in

20:08

this generation , are

20:10

coming from a generation

20:12

that built the country

20:15

and or immigrated

20:17

to the country And

20:19

a lot of times take on those types

20:22

of mantras and beliefs that that

20:24

mentality and that mindset was

20:27

needed or at least they thought that was

20:29

needed and that type of grit

20:31

and gotta keep going

20:33

. Let's not , there's no time to rest

20:35

. It made sense why that was relevant

20:37

for that time and space . But

20:39

there comes a point where we can

20:41

question what do I believe about work

20:43

and grinding ? What do I believe

20:46

about rest ? And where did I get that belief

20:48

from And how is it serving me current

20:50

day ? Did I just take it on and adopt

20:53

it because my grandfather was a hardworking man

20:55

? Okay , thank you

20:57

. So much gratitude for what

21:00

those people created , our

21:02

ancestors created , as a very

21:04

beautiful place for us to be

21:06

. But if we're not questioning

21:09

driving ourselves into the ground

21:11

at what cost , then

21:13

we're really , really missing an opportunity to

21:15

really maximize our power .

21:18

Do you think that while we were in quarantine

21:21

in the last few well

21:24

, i guess two years ago do you think that self-care

21:26

became more and more top of mind

21:28

?

21:29

Oh yeah , i definitely think it did . I think

21:31

that it was one of the greatest gifts

21:33

of that time and space that we lived in

21:35

, that we all as a collective

21:37

were on the go and they're . It

21:40

came to a screeching halt and

21:42

we were forced to just sit and

21:45

be . And I don't necessarily

21:47

know if everybody was able to

21:49

fully get into self-care

21:51

, especially my dear parents who

21:54

had to home school bless

21:56

their hearts But for sure

21:58

I feel that it created

22:01

a space to consider what

22:03

am I doing this for , at

22:05

what cost ? Wow

22:07

, like I think more people took a look at their lives

22:10

than they ever , than ever before , and

22:12

then they probably would have if that did not happen

22:14

.

22:14

Right , we were almost like forced to

22:17

do it . Well , we were forced to do it And

22:19

a lot of good things came out of that A lot of family

22:22

time connections and a

22:25

lot of even family Zoom calls . I

22:28

had some friends that they were like oh yeah , my family

22:30

gets together once a week on Zoom And I was like , really

22:32

, that's interesting , So being able

22:34

to do things differently . And another thing

22:37

was gardening A

22:39

lot of people . Now everything

22:41

is like homegrown .

22:42

I love it . It's like we're returning back to

22:44

the earth , are you ?

22:46

gardening . Did you start gardening ? I am not

22:48

. I kill everything , But every time I go

22:51

somewhere they're like oh , i've got some peppers and

22:53

I've got this And I've got . I'm like oh my .

22:54

God , That is so fun . Yeah , you

22:56

and I are exactly the same . I cannot

22:59

. I can keep dogs alive , but plants

23:01

are not my jam .

23:02

Yeah , yeah , me neither , me neither

23:05

. So , Bridget , tell

23:07

me about your ideal client

23:09

. Who do you work with And

23:11

what do they struggle with ?

23:14

I work with mostly women . Sometimes

23:16

some men find me and I'm open to that

23:18

But mostly women who crave

23:21

exactly what I do , which is freedom

23:23

, flexibility and fun . And

23:26

I love engaging

23:29

with the woman who is powerful

23:31

. She's like , at this inner

23:34

warrior , goddess inside

23:36

that she's either doled or

23:38

is trapped in a cage of following

23:40

what she thought she was supposed to follow Get

23:42

a job , get a degree . They're

23:44

climbing , she's climbing the corporate ladder . She

23:47

, on paper , looks like , oh

23:49

, she wants for nothing . She's

23:51

like living her best life , but

23:53

there's some part of her that's inside wants

23:55

to scream because

23:58

it's not her

24:00

fullness , she's not maximizing

24:03

her totality of her power

24:05

And she really , really craves

24:08

to own her life and own

24:10

her days , whether that's leaving corporate

24:12

and getting into entrepreneurship or

24:15

at least becoming a more true version

24:17

of herself . The way I look at it

24:19

is that there's a lot

24:21

of powerful , powerful women

24:23

who , again , on paper look incredible

24:26

but they're living a

24:28

lie . It's what I call

24:31

. They're out of alignment

24:33

. But I love words and I love plays on

24:35

words . It's alignment , but it's spelled

24:37

A-L-I-E

24:39

alignment And

24:42

living in alignment . They're typically

24:45

living for vacations

24:47

and that's the moments that they feel

24:49

a little bit free , but then they return right back

24:51

to feeling encapsulated

24:54

. They also just

24:56

our boss ladies , taking care of a lot of people

24:58

but not taking the time to really truly

25:00

pour into themselves . Symptoms

25:03

of when you're in alignment

25:06

, living a lie , are that

25:08

you may do

25:11

things to try to quiet

25:13

that . Like my thing

25:15

was eating snacks , love , ice

25:17

cream , or it might

25:20

be shopping , or it could

25:22

be pouring into others and just constantly

25:24

giving and giving and giving . Another

25:26

element is where you may be now

25:28

looking for the next position , but

25:31

it's really not gonna do anything . Like

25:34

it's that momentary , like okay , i feel like I'm

25:36

growing , but it's just the repeat

25:38

. Like what they're really seeking is true

25:40

alignment , spelled properly A-L-I-G

25:44

and M-E-N-T , where

25:46

the alignment just feels like peace

25:48

, it feels like love

25:50

, it feels like there's a sense of

25:52

fullness , because those women , these women

25:54

that I love to work with , they want

25:57

to leave this earth and this planet with

25:59

a sense of legacy

26:01

And not as though they need

26:03

to be on the world stage and be famous

26:05

, but they truly

26:08

desire and deserve , and what I do

26:10

when I work with them is connect them to meaning

26:13

, that sense of meaning , the most powerful

26:15

thing that we all have the ability to create

26:17

in our lives .

26:19

I love that . I actually had a conversation

26:21

with someone recently and we

26:24

talked about a misalignment with integrity

26:26

and a misalignment with purpose

26:28

, And while I was

26:30

living in that , while I was

26:32

in my last few years in the corporate space , I

26:34

really wasn't understanding

26:36

it . I just knew that something didn't feel good

26:39

, And one of the

26:41

things that I found myself in

26:43

was in 2021 , I

26:45

had a lot of revelations where my

26:48

intuition was screaming

26:50

Jessica , listen

26:53

, Jessica , listen , right . And I was blocking

26:55

it , thinking that it was just insecurity

26:57

and overthinking , which

27:00

a lot of us tend to do . And

27:02

one of the things that , as time

27:04

has gone on , I've been doing

27:06

is really listening

27:09

to my intuition , following

27:12

my heart and being

27:14

still to really listen to what's

27:16

happening before

27:19

I even take action , And sometimes

27:21

that causes you to stop

27:24

for a moment . Not

27:26

every answer has to be a

27:28

decision right now , at the moment , but

27:30

listening to our

27:32

intuition and following our heart has been so

27:34

important , And I can see how

27:36

I love what you said living in alignment

27:39

but LIE . I can see that

27:41

every day . Corporate

27:43

space especially because

27:45

the more we grow , the more we think that

27:48

that next position is gonna be the best thing

27:50

.

27:50

So Yeah , I was talking to a client

27:52

last week and this was the exact

27:55

conversation . She was saying okay

27:58

, i have this boss . That's horrible . Right now

28:00

I've got a company , that's this

28:02

beautiful startup , calling me and

28:05

I could go there and I just don't know

28:07

what to do . And I had her do

28:09

a breathing exercise and exactly what you

28:11

said slow down , get silent , with my support

28:14

, there , and I

28:16

took her through a little exercise , meditation

28:19

, where she met her warrior

28:21

, goddess self in this visual , and

28:23

I said , okay , when you open your eyes , tell me what

28:25

came up . She's like I'm not going

28:27

anywhere , i cannot

28:29

do another . And it was so sure

28:32

, so powerful , so clear . She said I will not just

28:34

jump to another company and give my talents , my

28:37

energy , my gifts to another space

28:39

. It is time for me to stop being scared

28:41

and finally start living my truth

28:43

. And I'm like , yes , this is exactly

28:46

what I do . Because when we

28:48

, as women and

28:50

men too , are unleashed in a space of

28:52

our truth , oh

28:55

the joy that emanates from that . And

28:57

there's so many people that put on a face , that

28:59

are in meetings right now , that

29:01

are running it , and it looks fantabulous

29:04

, but inside there's just like

29:06

an ache to be

29:08

connected with the truth of who they truly

29:10

are , but they either don't feel like it's possible

29:12

or are scared to take that

29:14

next step . Another client last week said to me I

29:17

feel like I'm in a small , small room and

29:19

I can see the hallway right there And

29:22

I know I just need to go through that door down that hallway

29:24

, but that hallway feels so scary .

29:29

Goosebumps You're giving me goosebumps , girl Because

29:32

it's so real and you know

29:34

community is so important to

29:36

be able to surround yourself with the right people

29:38

. And as someone you know , i'm a

29:40

coach and I hire coaches right , Because

29:43

we all need a coach

29:45

in our life . And I think it's

29:47

so powerful what we do

29:49

because you know we can go to

29:51

counseling all day long and deal with trauma , right

29:53

. So counseling really helps us deal with the past

29:56

. Coaching truly helps you with

29:58

your future , but really is that commitment

30:00

to yourself that helps you with the now , and

30:03

a lot of times it takes a coach

30:05

to be able to help you define

30:07

that . So I love what you're doing

30:09

and I'm so proud of

30:11

you and excited to be able to share

30:14

you with my community . So

30:16

tell me , how

30:18

do you work with people ? What programs

30:20

do you have available for someone that would want to work

30:22

with you ?

30:23

Absolutely So . There's a couple of different ways I work

30:25

with people . One is through my

30:27

retreat . That's annual at this

30:29

point I think I may do it a couple more times That's

30:32

in a group setting , where we really

30:34

tap into where are

30:36

you currently and then create that framework

30:39

of freedom for you in

30:41

a group setting And then from that space

30:43

, i also work with you in a group

30:46

to take that framework that's created

30:48

and actually start to live it , and where

30:50

they're together , step by step , to

30:53

really take full ownership

30:55

, take the limits off of your life and

30:57

truly experience limitlessness

30:59

. Where , like you said , community

31:01

makes all the difference . And a lot

31:04

of times , the women I connect with , because they're

31:06

so powerful , because they're leaders , they're

31:08

oftentimes the lone wolf . I was for

31:10

so long where , and because we can

31:13

do a lot of things . We tend to do a lot of things

31:15

. But one of my favorite sayings

31:17

is pain shared is pain

31:20

lessened or reduced

31:22

. And when you are

31:24

in community , like my group , that we journey

31:26

together through the whole entire year , you can look

31:28

back and say , ah , look what we did . And you have

31:30

your sisters there celebrating with

31:33

you . For those of my clients

31:35

who really would love just

31:37

concentrated time together , there's two ways

31:40

I do that . One to one . One is a VIP

31:42

day , where we take four hours , you

31:44

and me in person I also do it virtual

31:46

, but I prefer in person And we

31:49

create your entire blueprint

31:51

for the next year of your life what

31:53

it's going to look like , what steps you're going to take and all

31:55

of that good stuff . And then from there

31:58

, i also work with people in my partnership

32:00

VIP program , where it's me and

32:02

you together all year

32:04

long , where I do it with

32:06

you , so done for

32:09

you is my VIP day me and you

32:11

just formulating what the plan is . If

32:13

you're like , ah , i need your support

32:15

to execute this plan , then that's my partnership

32:18

VIP program . So those are the ways that , ways

32:20

in which I work with people for now .

32:22

I love that , i love that , and where can people find

32:24

you ?

32:24

You can find me on Instagram

32:27

at Bridget the Go Coach

32:29

. That's B-R-I-D-G-E-T-T-E

32:31

32:36

Thoreau quote go confidently

32:38

32:40

the life you imagined . And

32:42

on Facebook , my name , bridget Simmons

32:44

32:47

32:49

. Linkedin same thing , bridget

32:51

32:55

.

32:56

Love that Love that . So I

32:59

33:03

media channels . So guys feel free to follow

33:08

you know we all need

33:10

to connect with amazing people

33:12

and definitely Bridget is one of those

33:15

. So , before

33:17

we wrap up , the way I always end

33:19

our podcast is really understanding

33:22

like a day in your world and

33:24

what does maximizing

33:26

your day looks like

33:28

to you ? Can you share that with our audience

33:30

?

33:31

Absolutely . First , I want to say thank you so much

33:33

, Jessica . This has been so incredible

33:36

Time flew chatting with

33:38

you and I feel so very grateful

33:40

and blessed to be here and talking

33:42

to you and your audience . So thank you , thank

33:44

you So honored . And maximize

33:47

my day means I

33:50

feel like I'm still that little girl . That's like I got

33:52

my own roof . I can do whatever I want . So

33:54

maximizing my day means

33:57

I do whatever I

33:59

want and I get to choose

34:01

. That is the greatest

34:03

and sweetest joy to me , that if

34:05

I wanted to , today

34:08

, go lay out by the pool , my day is

34:10

maximized . If I want to serve

34:12

four people one on one

34:14

in conversations to watch them

34:16

maximize their day , my day is

34:18

maximized . If I want to take a

34:20

nap at one , because I can , and

34:22

curl up with my puppy Ginger , my

34:25

day is maximized . So it's whatever

34:27

I choose and

34:29

then that freedom , that's

34:32

maximized . That's a maximized day

34:34

in my world .

34:35

I love that . I love that . Well , thank you

34:37

so much for sharing and , as

34:39

you guys can hear , everyone

34:42

has a different way to maximize

34:44

their day . Maximize your time At

34:46

the end of the day , it's really what helps

34:48

you live your life by design

34:51

and live the life of your dreams , as

34:53

well as building that business of your dream

34:55

that you so much crave . So thank

34:58

you for being here . I hope you guys enjoyed

35:00

this podcast and I can

35:02
