Sometimes in medicine, we do things just because they’ve always been done that way, which is terrible reasoning. Valsalva maneuver followed by the two-syringe technique for adenosine administration has been standard practice in PSVT management for decades. Recent data suggests that both of these approaches may have better alternatives.
