Constance Markievicz is commemorated as a patriot and champion of the underprivileged.

A revolutionary, nationalist, suffragist and socialist, most famous for her role in the Irish 1916 Rising, for which she risked her life. She was elected Minister for Labour in the First Dáil, becoming the first female cabinet minister in Europe.
