I love the framing device of voice-acted audio book for in-universe fanfic, what a great use of medium. The division between scored fanfic and environmental sound design irl is also great. Narrated by the character writing it, of course. I fuckin love fandom AUs; it’s great to find an original work that scratches the same itch. I hope they pull a Rainbow Rowell and make Selkirk. *waves in fellow canadian*

This audio drama has been on my to-listen list since I saw the title, but I finally got the chance to listen to this episode today as part of the PodTales 2020 Podcast Showcase. I'm absolutely in love so far - I come from a fandom background myself, met my best friend and so many other loved ones through it. I feel like I've been waiting years for a story that captures the magic of what fandom can be and what the relationships forged through fandom can mean, and this show is already doing that from the very first episode. The last line made me gasp with just... touched reverence and familiarity, and the descriptions throughout of what it feels like to be part of fanfic culture rang so true for me. The acting is also wonderful and the music fits the mood and captures the show's charm perfectly. I'm so excited to listen to more!
