It is not uncommon for there to be a divide amongst individuals when it comes to politics & certain subjects. The major issue regarding the lack of unity is the prevalence of white racial identity dipshits mingling in with conservatism to pervade the atmosphere. Right wingers will defend illegalities if the illegal action is committed by a conservative or generally a white supremacist type. This is why there is a divide. If white nationalists can't get a real identity with regards to values, ethics & morals, the divide will continue to occur. In order to have Unity, there must be an implementation of good values, ethics & morality. I'm down for Unity. Are you?
