I've learned, for Djs...4am (or last hour of the party) is where you separate the real from the phony. That last hour? the Dj has a true chance to show what they're made of -How Much Music Do You REALLY Know? -How much Emotion can You draw from the room ? How F'in Bad-Ass are you 4 REAL? How many hours have You spent digging in those crates buddy? ... the best djs don't mix during that last hour, they just " drop joints " - I'm talking, Tony Humphries... Ron Trent... Louie Vega - under NO circumstances will you ever test those dudes at 4am ( trust me )- I won't test them either for that matter... but they teach, and I learn, and any of these other bozos can come see me ( yup, I'm that brash ) There's No Substitute for a room full of loved ones sharing in musical offerings for an entire night - you can never capture that energy -I just wanted to show you a bit of what I'm made of - ( can't go TOO deep in the stash on tape LOL ) ENJOY ;) Kev Kruz ( Mecca Digital Hi-Fi / Iklwa Bros. )
