Hosted by Code 4 Africa in conjunction with Hacks/Hackers Africa, the Media Indaba Africa 2017 conference held talks and workshops from 23-25 November in Cape Town, bringing together technologists, digital journalists and practitioners from around the world.

Themed “Continental Shift: the invention of the new”, some of the areas the conference focussed on included data-driven investigative journalism and the war against truth.
