BC's Dominique Fricot, previously of the Painted Birds, is known for his emotive fusion of rock, soul, folk and jazz, and ear for creating pure pop classics. Since the release of If Baby Could Walk in June 2012, Fricot's music has been picked up by Vancouver radio stations the Fox and the Peak. Vancouver's Shore 104 selected the record's lead single Haunted by Love for their September “Best of BC” and awarded Fricot with a $10,000 prize. In the midst of this he was also placed in the top 3 of the Peak Performance Project. Currently planning the release of his next album, radio legend Alan Cross has said of Fricot's music “if you like Chris Martin, then there’s no way you won’t like this Canadian”. Well known producer Jeff Dawson has called him “the new Neil Diamond.”image
