A corporate executive, Alicia, had no desire for a husband or children. Then, in her mid-30’s she fell in love with an amazing man and got married. Her husband came with two bonus children from a previous marriage. In awe of her husband’s fathering, Alicia developed a deep desire to birth children of her own. Upon embarking on the journey to have biological children, they were met with delay.

After a few years of not getting pregnant naturally, they sought an expert opinion. Following the necessary assessments, she was referred for IVF and eagerly started the process. Shortly after starting the IVF process, Alicia became increasingly overwhelmed and ultimately made the decision to discontinue the process.
