Hello everybody and welcome back to MentorZ. Right now we are continuing our interview with Kim Bilyeu, and last we left off we were talking about how when babies take their first steps and fall they are celebrated and not shamed, not only do we learn by trying, but Kim connects this with the idea that she used to be the black sheep of her family, never leaving the narrow road she originally put herself on, never wanting to learn how to walk… again, I’m sorry I couldn’t resist the Foo Fighters reference. But in the process of building the new Kim, she learned from many great books and references them here in the show! If you’d like a list of them all, there is a free recourse article titled “Kim’s Possible Booklist” … I know I’m just full of references today. That’s down in the bio below! Let’s jump back in to the interview!

Kim is the currently the Senior manager in global education at Johnson and Johnson, and formerly the director of knowledge and training at Quest Nutrition

She helps lead, direct, and educate high-level nurses and engineers and most interestingly she created in-depth and thorough bookclubs that allowed members to implement what they are digesting.

Her collaborations have resulted in the design and implementation of multiple development and mentorship programs that increase the leadership talent pool, positive turnover, loyalty among employees, and cultivate a culture of servant leadership.

Kim has been such a wonderful mentor to me, she has shown me dozens of amazing books to read, and is a testament to the experimental process in terms of becoming an effective and emotionally intelligent leader. She has a wealth of knowledge to give and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.

Without further ado, Kim Bilyeu
