I am pretty picky about Actual Play shows as a whole. This one was recommended to me by a friend from the Cast Junkie Discord server. So I gave it a try. The setting is what really intrigued me. 20's Noir type settings are a favorite of mine. Really enjoy this podcast. The cast has come together and mesh really well. The characters are unique and interesting and the players have really done a great job getting into character for the show. Something a lot of AP's have problems doing. Adam is a fantastic DM and you can sense the hard work that he puts into the campaign. I really enjoy listening and cannot wait to see where the show goes from here.

Mystical, Mad, and Incredibly Mesmerizing! If you are looking for a perfect podcast to satisfy your need for Lovecraftian horror check this show out. Audio quality top notch, the DM is super energetic and knows how to drive the story, and you will be entrapped after the first episode!

It's so goooooooooood.This is my favorite non-comedy actual play. Not to say that there aren't funny moments. But if you are looking for a fantasy-horror-cthulhu-thriller-drama you've found it. The characters are all unique and interesting in a way that is so hard to achieve. No character outshines another. They all have their unique quirks that make it impossible for me to pick a favorite. The episodes are bite-sized and release consistently and frequently. Listen to Microphones & Monsters. Please. They deserve it.

I'm only 15 episodes in, but I'm loving it so far. I'll say at this point its the players personalities/characters that are doing the heavy lifting, but the story is getting there and I like where its going. Another factor I love is how little dice rolling gets in the way of the narrative. I appreciate that when there is dice chucking its heavily narrative based, and not generic "you missed or you hit". Keep up the great work!Side note: as to why I found this podcast, or continue to listen. I have a lot of Bloodborne minis to paint, a lot .... So this podcast goes well with that.

Very well produced and thoughtfully divided into shorter episodes, which makes them easily digestible and low-commitment. The DM and players' love for what they're doing is apparent right from the start. Highly recommend listening to their adventure!

Very unique cast and a world with equally unique inspiration; probably the only ttrpg taking inspiration from the move The Final Cut, and I love it!

This podcast has everything thing you want in a D&d campaign. Fantastic voices and good flow. Highly recommended that you start at episode one.

This podcast has some truly interesting characters, intriguing DMing and solid sound design. With episodes ranging between 30-60 minutes, it's very bingeable or great for a nice walk or lunch break.

Love horror and love how this podcast input horror in their show.

This Podcast is off to an absolutely brilliant start! The characters are immediately engaging, the mystery quickly dread inducing, and the monsters utterly disturbing.There's even an intelligent cat warlock. I mean. Come on.It pivots from being highly amusing to very unsettling quickly and smoothly. Definitely can't wait for more!

A glorious blend of D&D and Cthulhu, M&M has that balance of horror, comedy, and mystery that keeps me looking forward to it popping up on my podcatcher. Come for the talking cats, stay for the gh...uh, crypt-folk.

I can honestly say I was not into Actual Plays, but after listening to this I cannot imagine going a week without listening. The characters are a joy to follow along with and the world-building is excellent. Of course the banter is my favorite part.

What I really like about this podcast is the interplay between the players and the DM. It feels more like an audio drama than an actual play podcast in the most sincere way.

While I do know the people behind the podcast personally but in a honest and unbiased opinion. I believe they have gold on their hands and I look forward to every episode they put out, I am always caught up with the latest episode and looking forward to more. I think the group has amazing cohesion and Adam is a fantastic DM, though I knew that from an off podcast campaign we did, and I will tell you without a doubt that you should listen to this podcast, you will be enthralled by what they have created.

Sometimes I think I am overdoing with the actual play podcasts. However, I only listen to those that come recommended to me. Such as Microphones & Monsters. I am so glad I started listening. The game play is great and the horror elements keep you on your toes. The characters are phenomenal and the story is excellent! I very much look forward to the future this show is going to take me to!
