In Episode 02 of the Midnight Madness Horror Podcast we begin our Morbid Midwest tour in Chicago with Resurrection Mary. Perhaps Chicago's most famous urban legend, Resurrection Mary is the ghost of a young girl who was tragically killed walking home from a dance one night. Now, she wanders the road outside the cemetery in her party dress, waiting for a driver to stop and give her a ride.
In this episode, we talk about the different versions of the Resurrection Mary story and real-life "Mary's" buried at Resurrection Cemetery who could have prompted the legend. Is it a scare tactic meant to warn driver's not to pick up hitchhikers, or is there something more to the legend?
We also talk about the Netflix original series Stranger Things, and discuss the beginning of the Halloween season.
Stay scared, friends.
