Pastor Chris continues our study “David, After God’s Heart: The Trust and Tragedy of a Shepherd-King,” with a teaching entitled “God Makes a Covenant with David.” In studying 2nd Samuel 7, we learn from a moment when David thought he would do something great for God, only to discover that God was going to do something great for him, and more importantly, through him for the people of God. In this study, we consider moments when God says no and how he helps us recover a heart after his own.
