It’s time for another Mind Gap Podcast! This week, Doug and Justin are joined by video game developer, co-founder of Midnight Society, and owner of PWNK Records, Robert Bowling! The dorks discuss Robert’s background in game development as well as working on his current game, Deadrop. Robert talks about the importance of being transparent and involving the community in the development process and creating a sense of ownership among the fans. The nerds then chat about the shift from physical copies to digital copies of games and the challenges of preserving older games plus the potential for AI in the gaming industry.

Things are wrapped up with another round of “Is it AI or a real video game?” where Robert and Justin have to guess if a prompt is the synopsis of a real game or one that’s been created by AI.
