John, a graduate of the University of Regina, completed his Bachelor of Physical Education and Kinesiology Degree in 1987. His educational background combined with a passion for the game of hockey initially lead him to a traditional off-ice Strength and Conditioning position with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. Transitioning off-ice conditioning to an on-ice application quickly became the focus. “Hockey players cannot skate faster by simply skating faster”. A change must be introduced to enable the player to extract any hidden ability to increase speed and game dynamics. His innovative approach lead to teaching techniques that are unique, dynamic and successful for all levels.
