Released Monday, 15th July 2019
Good episode? Give it some love!
What would it be like to live on the moon? 50 years after the first moon landing human habitation on the planet could be a possibility within the next decade. With commercial companies on the verge of sending normal citizens into space, interplanetary colonisation may not just be the reserve of science fiction. In 2015, Major Tim Peake became the first British astronaut to travel to the International Space Station and is currently preparing for a return journey.

In this episode Major Tim Peake shares his life story; from his childhood in Chichester and joining the army to becoming part of an elite group. He explains what it takes to become an astronaut and the challenges he had to overcome during the selection process, the experience of life in space and the future of space travel.

Key Takeaways:

Becoming an astronaut: advice for the next generation of space explorers
Why hard work, preparation and the right attitude can help you to reach for the stars
How we can prove the moon landing wasn’t faked
The importance of space travel for the future of the human race
