My name is Cheryl and I am your host.

I was going to do an episode on three lessons I learned in 2023 and you know a wrap up of 2023 and I decided to keep it simple because I really wanted to stretch myself and to come up with the strongest message that I have from 2023.

And it all comes down to being congruent, to stepping into who you really are as a person.

This isn't the anxious person, the fearful person, this isn't the argumentative person or the negative person, because those are emotional states, and emotional states change.

You can wake up in the morning and be happy, you can go to bed, piss, to shit the emotional states.

But underneath all those emotional states is the person you are.

It is your highest intention, your highest ideal.

It is the person who rises above all of these difficulties, who rides the wave of all these difficulties.

And when you become congruent, you know who you are and you learn to look at your faults or quote unquote defects or difficulties, not as a crux to bear but as part of your journey, and you learn how to take those situations and flip them over.

I'll give you an example. Part of who I was for so many years was my anxiety general anxiety Anxious going to work, anxious coming home from work.

I mean I would be anxious to go to visit family members, even anxious driving.

I learned and conquered all that.

But then I also took the understanding of being anxious and how it felt and I was able to turn it into something positive, and that's where my coaching comes in.

So I would suggest for you just to sit down and to really look underneath of all of the emotions that you have and all of the difficulties, and even the winds and the good things.

But look underneath all that and who are you when you are at your most congruent?

Who are you when you are at your best?

Who are you? Who do you inspire and who inspires you?

And I found this past year that I was looking at that.

You know, when I was writing my book, I was looking for the inspiration of others and how to navigate something I've never done before.

And then, earlier in this year, I also took a powerful coaching course that upleveled my coaching beyond infinity and that taught me a lot about who I was as well, because I had to step into that program with uncomfortableness.

I wasn't comfortable to be in a program where, all of a sudden, I'm the newbie again.

That's uncomfortable, but I had to step into that and I learned a lot about myself.

I learned what presses my buttons and what I'm good at and what I'm bad at, and in the end it all comes down to who am I Like?

Why am I here? I'm not trying to get all woo-woo, but the question pops up especially when it comes to the end of the year, because we're doing a lot of evaluation, we're looking at what we've done this past year, we're matching this past year to our previous years and we're always evaluating and judging ourselves.

And I want you to step out of that for a minute and, instead of judging yourself, appreciate yourself and ask this question what is beneath all of that, all of that emotion, all of that face you put out to others?

What is the real you and what do you need to make your next year better than this year?

I want you to have a wonderful 2024 and I want you to step into it with the intention of really coming out, so to speak, to who you really are and to embrace that part of you, to embrace the ability to be authentic.

It is easy to just go about our life, kind of going along and getting along, and sometimes we need to just step out and say who we are and what we believe in and what our values are and what our motivations are and what we desire, and it's not selfish.

If anything, it is raising your platform and that allows other people to see you as their motivation and their inspiration.
